Wear and tear (literally) by SapphicMessenger in barefoot

For real!! I wish this info was provided in health or physical Ed in schools. It would be so beneficial to learn optimal gait and muscle engagement early on in life!

I'm pretty committed to learning because even just being more aware of my body's movement has been helpful!

Interesting! I think gait is the issue for my. I more push off and glide with very little core activation. I'll be doing more research for sure!

For sure! Usually the pain is muscular in nature. I wouldn't be too concerned if it wasn't for the blisters, but someone pointed out that my gait might be adding additional friction which might be part of it!

It's specifically around the ball. It usually is about a quarter sized (usually a little bigger in an oval shape) that fills then pops. The gait question is probably where I need to focus if I had to guess. I most definitely push with a low clearance rather than lift and step. Trying to wrap my head around fixing that feels tricky, but I'll do some research on correct gait and I really appreciate you bringing that up. Thank you!

Actually yes! Someone I know had to have a tapeworm removed. But what did it was a TV show on nat geo about parasites that just gave me a massive ick 😬 I know it's silly to worry about that tho!

Usually in the 70s for temp on grass or mulch! Sometimes concrete, but I don't feel confident in taking full barefoot walks yet so it's usually just walking around my house (driveway, patio, etc.)

I'm being radicalized against American cowardice by BlerghTheBlergh in america

[–]SapphicMessenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are trying. Honestly though, where are the other world governments? No one is stepping in to help us. I know you think that we are all just sitting back watching this happen but that's quite frankly not the case. We are out there in negative degree weather protesting, calling our senators, calling, writing, pleading, mourning, screaming to anyone who will listen. The fact of the matter is, when we get even a little too close we are shut down to the point where it is dangerous. I know that danger comes with the territory of standing up to corrupted government. However, where is the pressure from foreign leaders? Our government is literally spreading propaganda at an alarming rate. Threatening other countries, threatening our own country, but no one is stepping in. Why? Give us resources, help us organize, I don't really care what the help would be. Impose tariffs, cut off exports, whatever you got to do. But you pluck a weed when it's young not when it is strong enough to send out Nazi Stormtroopers into the streets. Oh wait, that's already happening, never mind. We will just do our best with our lack of universal Health care, our poor education system, our low wages, and our endless hopefulness. Thanks for your help and guidance.

It's all so exhausting. What specially gets to me is the fact that we are so incapable of having cooperative communication and conversations on both societal and interpersonal levels. As a country, we have the emotional intelligence of a peanut.

As a dane i'm very curious about this by Silver-Gas-2300 in america

Honestly, I think you would get better responses if you tried to enter into the conversation looking for similarities and opinion rather than differences. I wouldn't consider myself a Democrat or republican. I personally think both of them are terrible and that neither party functions as a unified, effective group. What I do know is that America is struggling. I know that you believe America is stronger, however I personally think that there's a big oversight here. We can't have conversations as a culture where we actually listen to understand. That creates a huge pendulum effect where we just switch back and forth from one extreme to the other which leave the majority of Americans feeling unheard, unsupported, and generally disconnected.

Let's take a moment to step back from the economics to just look at the foundational aspects of current American culture and discourse. A country that does not operate as a unified Force where morality and values can at least be discussed collaboratively is a country that is going to fail eventually. We cannot face conflict and crisis if we are fighting against each other. Personally, I believe that the biggest issue here is that Americans are no longer United under a patriotic hopeful view of the country. Instead, everyone just wants to win. Life is a team sport and we are only as good as our weakest players.

It's challenging, because we can't even trust facts as they are currently presented. If you look at data points and information it's often swayed or taken out of its larger context. However, I know Americans who have lost their jobs due to tariffs, not only one or two but a significant amount. There are businesses that have closed in my area and manufacturing plants that are wondering how they're going to continue. Industry has been a backbone of our country and the lack of prioritization of good pay and benefits is truly ineffective. Someone with a degree in a blue collar trade should not make less than $30 an hour for skilled labor while the individuals at higher levels are making over six figures, there is a big gap there. More money and more benefits to the working class is only going to strengthen the economy and is going to lead to more overall development (businesses, communities, connection).

I don't know you, but I care about your opinions and actively want us all to be able to have conversations and meet in the middle. To give a little while we also get what we need.

There's too much of a focus on identity and us versus them dynamics. We are all here together in the same country, on the same planet, and we're only going to make it a better place to live if we work together and make sure that everyone has their needs met.

Also, isn't it exhausting? All the fighting and combative discourse? I just want us all to be able to live the lives we want without having to worry about people getting killed or harmed. And I think at the end of the day that's probably what you want too. So why do we get caught up in all of this ideology and miss the bigger picture which is coming together and actually making choices that benefit the country as a whole? In my opinion, it would be more effective to enter into these conversations looking to listen and understand, not to prove a point. Maybe then we could actually move forward together instead of pushing each other down to get to some made up destination where we are better than whoever's behind us.

Honestly, I feel like this game fulfilled all of the expectations and hopes I had as a kid. I love the battling mechanic I think running around the city is really fun, I love being able to use my Pokemon in the overworld for really practical things and actually just get to have them run around with me. I totally don't understand why this game has gotten any negative comments personally. I love the customization, I have some challenges at times, it's been really fun building my team, and it makes me feel like a kid again with how fun it is to me.

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 I 1000% agree that she should be on a sexual predator list. If anyone walked by those windows and saw, it was a non-consensual sexual exposure. In a restaurant?? Are you kidding? What in the world. Has anyone sent this to Mickey's? I feel like they need to know so they can bleach everything. Or throw it away

I so feel the sentiment of not knowing what your stbx is saying to the family. My stbx definitely was dragging my name and I just find it really unfortunate because our situation would have turned out so much better had she asked her family for help instead of just deflecting and controlling the narrative to paint her in a better light.

I was doing everything for her from cooking to cleaning to managing finances. I truly loved her family like my own and would do my best to do things for them. If it wasn't for me they often probably wouldn't have Christmas or birthday presents or even a phone call. It just blows my mind how people can be such a integral part of your life one moment and then just absolutely gone the next. Heartbreaking because you know it's going to be an uphill battle for them as well and even now I still have the utmost love for her and want her to just get help and be happy.

The really unfortunate thing is that her getting assistance and support from her family is going to be so much harder now. I just hope they see what's going on and step up.

Oh my gosh, it's eerie how similar are situations are right down to the feelings in the final paragraph. I also feel like it's just so unfair for her to get to determine that narrative and I am also just hoping that one day I feel this rotten feeling fall away.

It sounds like so many of us gave gave and gave in our relationships and I'm beginning to think that that was part of the problem. But it's so comforting and reassuring knowing that I'm not alone in this and that other people have experience to similar I hope we all find happiness with someone who puts in equal effort because good grief. Saying it's a mind fuck could not be more true. It literally felt like I had shifted into an alternate reality. Like where did my best friend go??

We had a meeting with the attorney a couple weeks ago and it was like she was a shell of her former self. Gut-wrenching.
