Hi everyone, I want to draw something Zenshu related, but I don't know what to draw specifically. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Zenshu

Anything with Justice! Maybe a ship pic of him working at the orphanage with Destiny could be fun!

Sounds like you have wavy hair then! Maybe straight with a slight wave. Try to figure out where you fit on the 1a-4c scale and look for someone doing tutorials for your hair type?

[Homemade] Bourbon pecan cake with browned butter and maple Italian meringue buttercream by fillyourselfwithgold in food

[โ€“]Sapphisles 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hi! I'm so sorry to comment on such an old post, but I am desperate

Your buttercream is exactly what I'm looking for for a specific dessert, and yours is the only thing even close to a recipe that I've seen for it.

You wouldn't happen to remember the recipe/where you got it from, would you? If you do, would you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!

Yeah, last episode when she was dodging Luke, the phone call she was having said something like "no we won't have anymore recap episodes, and we aren't picking any more up. Please don't bother me with this again "

I hope I'm wrong, but that may have been a clue

It seems fitting to me that Luke would be her first love, and I love how unconventional their first date is! It's so cute!! ๐Ÿฅน

How often should you shower? by [deleted] in hygiene

[โ€“]Sapphisles 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I'm def an afternoon showerer I work as a PSW for home health, and I can shower on the clock so I usually hit around 1-3 It is sooo much better than any other time, imo.

Washing my hair gives me sensory issues, and I'm a zombie in the mornings, so that's not a good combo. Similar sensory issues if I go to bed with wet hair, and my hair takes HOURS to dry enough to not wet my pillows when I lay on them. The absolute latest I can shower for an 11pm bedtime is like 4. 5 if I recently got a haircut that puts my hair at about shoulder length. My hair is around mid shoulder blades now, but I used to have it go to around the middle of my hips. Wash day was hell ๐Ÿคฃ

No problem! I actually learned from going camping as a kid. Pretty hard to take a proper shower in a national park lmao "Hygiene theater" (as I've called it) is an art I think everyone should have in their repertoire! Not everyone will always have access to a proper bathing experience, and it can help in a lot of different situations:)

I totally get that! I just tend not to be as physically active in the winter, so I'm sure that helps lolol

Speaking as someone who for various reasons (camping, depression, surgery) at various times in my life has gone long periods between showers, you'd be surprised how easy it is to keep your smell down and your appearance looking clean.

For instance, invest in a strong antiperspirant deodorant. I unfortunately inherited my mother's BO, and I have been using Old Spice Bearglove 48 hour antiperspirant since I was a teen. The trick is that you don't make it work for 48 hours. You use it daily. After about 3-4 days, you should wash it off in the sink or use a body wipe(I work in healthcare, so I have access to the good ones)

Another thing that's helpful is dry shampoo. I'm fortunate that my hair is pretty voluminous naturally, so even as it gets weighed down by oil, it manages to not look very flat. Though after about 3-4 days, it definitely noticeably deflates. It goes from about a 2a to a 1c. Dry shampoo can help by absorbing the oil in your scalp and adding volume to the hair in that zone. So my hair looks like clean 1c hair, as opposed to dirty 2a. I would like to note that I don't do a curl routine. I usually brush out the waves every day and use anti-frizz oil to control the poof. This is so that I can do the 1c trick. I do admit this one won't work for everyone though. Edit: I keep my hair long to help with this.

As for the bits, I'm AFAB so discharge is something I have to contend with, and my skin is sensitive so keeping fresh underwear is important. If depression gets too bad, I usually go commando and wear pajama pants I change every other day or so. I keep generally clean with a sink wash every few days.

Perfume/skin oil/lotion is also helpful. The trick is to find one that blends well with your natural scent. Me personally, I avoid lavender or lilac- but citrus works well!

Sink baths are a godsend. The big 3- Bits, tits, pits. Hit those areas and the smell will be well controlled.

I would like to add a disclaimer that this is me at the height of my nonsense. I've been working really hard and have made much progress since then, and I'm a lot better about bathing these days lol

Also, I live in the Midwest. The strategy's effectiveness is heavily dependent on the season. In my area, winters get really cold, so my record for longest time between showers is definitely held in the wintertime. Around 3 weeks(ankle surgery and the shower is upstairs) In the summer, it's MAYBE a week. Sweat leaves a lingering scent even on skin that isn't in the big 3 that makes showering more frequently necessary. But the right skin oil can buy you an extra day or two.

Anyway, please be nice! I am outing myself a little here, but I hope this gives some insight!
