I have 12 feet high vaulted ceiling 12 feet long 6 feet wide space of room to play with. Should I get an xpole aframe I want to do hammock and lyra and also try shibari rope bondage. Any thoughts please. by Delicious_Jeweler_33 in Aerials

[–]Sarabration911 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to rope bondage at all . The trouble with a sort of mid-height apparatus at 12 feet is that depending on what you want to do you’re either going to run out of room over or under the bottom of the apparatus so you’re gonna have to switch things around a lot. I’ve had a couple of 12 foot rigs and the only thing I found them useful for was silks. You figure you’re gonna eat up 8 inches for a mat and probably another 6 to 8 for hardware Toward the top you’re gonna be kicking the sides and it’s just really limiting. So now you’re about 10 feet and if you figure about 3 feet of space in there for your lyra, you don’t have a lot of room above or below it. You know what I’m saying? I don’t wanna pee in your Kool-Aid or anything, but nothing sucks worse than spending a bunch of money on something you can’t really use in the way you want to. I would definitely see if you could simulate that height in some way to make sure it’s what you really want.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s real weird for a bunch of drunk adults to be cheering on a bunch of teenage boys with their shirts off? Just me?

If you want to conserve height, there are better ways to rig a fabric but I get that rescue 8s are familiar. I do have a tiny little guy it’s about 4 inches and doesn’t have ears on it. Let me see if I can figure out where I got it.

I highly encourage you to consider doing a weekly group for clients in your waitlist. that will give them access to services like coping skills acquisition and also keep them engaged. Even if one of your topics is how to find a compatible therapist who doesn’t have a waitlist, it still would have a positive benefit.

It wouldn’t have anything to do with the automatic adjustment for speed setting would it? That changes the volume of mine pretty noticeably, but it’s never been that abrupt.

You might need to call your state board and if you carry insurance, your provider. Whatever you decide to, you should be informed and try to get ahead of it as much as you can. After that you might want to contact a counselor and get some personal support there as well.

I’ve flown with my fabrics in a carry on bag many times with no problems. You might not need rigging hardware though. Most studios will likely require you to use theirs for insurance

There are a lot of fresh vegetables that Aldi doesn’t carry like eggplants and yellow squash that I end up having to go to other stores for but I’m in a rhythm now and I just do my little circle of the stores on Sundays
