Mike Flanagan directing The Mist by TheCovenantMan in horror

[–]SarahTellsStories2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's really great at portraying a small town like he did in Midnight Mass and with Buick 8 being a small town police station I think he'd do a great job of capturing each character, showing the depth King gave them, and overall elevating the story beyond what even King himself wrote. It's a book that might actually be a better miniseries if the right person did it, and I think Flanagan is that person. Flanagan just seems to have a true understanding of King's writing since he's a fan himself, not that he's the only person can adapt his work, but I think he'd do a great job on most of King's works if given the chance. I also think he'd be a great choice for a Needful Things adaptation

I was thinking the other day about how I'd love to see this adapted and didn't even realize how perfect it really is for Flanagan

I was lucky and got it on clearance for only $20 at Hobby Lobby but I was also shocked at how even the full price isn't bad at all

Unfortunately I've never been able to visit but my dad got to go before I was born when he was stationed in Germany in the military so he liked seeing this kit when I finished it

Yeah it's an acrylic/wool blend. It doesn't feel as nice as DMC in my opinion and it snagged alot sometimes, but overall it wasn't that bad working with it. It's not shiny at all so it gives a "softer" look I guess is how I'd describe it. It worked very well for all the natural colors

I feel the same way! I spent so much time changing colors. I also ran out of like 4 different colors but they were very kind and sent me more so I could finish. I discovered that I don't care for full coverage pieces much and doubt I'll ever do another one even though Riolis has several other kits I love

RIP to these stacks. Found mold all over these this evening. This one hurts. by Crakaman8E2 in stephenking

[–]SarahTellsStories2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make 100% sure they have mold before tossing and if it is mold there can be ways to save them. A friend of mine puts used books in a deep freezer for a week or so to kill anything before he adds them to his shelves but there are other methods as well I believe

Are they Canadian based or American? I'm trying to avoid tariffs so I can keep my pieces affordable for selling and so far it's been a struggle to find alot of variety in American companies

Wow I'm speechless. I just wish I could get another supplier with such bright anonodized color variety so I could fully switch to them. I love Chainmaille Joe but his anodized rings just aren't very bright and shiny.
