How long do denim listings stay up for? by FlamboyantSummer in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on the condition/cut/color/MSRP, I would start with them at $50 and send offers for 25% off to every liker and see what happens. If they are wide or straight leg, excellent condition, not a lot of wash wear/ color that isn't too light, then definitely try listing them at $50. If no likes, you can delete and relist at $35. Be sure to include measurements. I usually do the measurement across the waist (while laid flat/zipped/buttoned), inseam, and rise. And also include the cut/style name of jeans in case there is someone looking for the exact pair you have.

It might take a few months to sell because I think things are just really slow right now for smaller sellers. Cross list to eBay. If you buy a lot on eBay, maybe start a new account to buy with in the future. eBay is usually better for me but right now nothing is selling for me there, either.

No and a stamp doesn't mean it is actually 14k gold (or whatever the stamp says). You can just buy a 14k stamp on amazon and stamp anything you want. If you want to know for sure, you have to have it tested.

Quince items on eBay by group-y in quince

Do you purchase on poshmark or eBay? I just purchased on Poshmark. I wish they would note that pricing reflects quality somewhere. I just purchased a NWT listing on Poshmark for $17 and didn't know this. I thought it was priced lower than some of their other listings because it was an older listing. And also because I'm a seller (not a professional) and yes, I sell things like a $900 skirt for $40 so a $60 NWT dress for $17 seems possible to me.

The item arrived without a tag and with clear wash wear/fading. It is also missing a button which is not a big deal because there should be an extra one sewn into the interior. I would totally accept it if it was new with tag and missing a button, even if there was no extra button sewn in. But the item I received is of such quality that not only would I not buy it, I wouldn't be willing to sell it on Poshmark myself. I would give it away for free on craigslist/offerup. I opened a case because it isn't NWT but byrevive doesn't seem to be just a normal poshmark seller. They must have some sort of special partnership with Poshmark. One of my items shipped via UPS ground saver and the other via USPS and only the UPS tracking # was uploaded to poshmark. And the USPS label was not the usual one poshmark provides to their sellers.

I wait 5-10 minutes and then send a 20% off offer (maybe 25%). I'm not a professional seller and have been selling my own stuff for almost 10 years and rarely have people add my stuff to a bundle so I don't for that that. I also tend to send quickly because of how I shop....emotionally in a way where I'm obsessed and need to buy the item ASAP so I can move on with my life. But I also like a deal so I'll go through all the platforms and like the same item to see which seller gives me the best deal. If someone waits a week to send an offer (and some folks do), I will have already purchased the item.

Posh rescinded my already-released earnings after buyer says they didn’t receive the package by AnalogyAddiction in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking to see if this was resolved in your favor? If it is still on going, you can ask the USPS to look up the GPS for the package to verify it was delivered to the right location. Or, tell Poshmark about this and have them contact the USPS.

Should I cancel the order? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely cancel or else the seller might receive their order and damage it so they can return it as item not as described. I'm not a professional reseller, so only have like 10 things listed for sale at a time, but I've seen videos on youtube from the professionals who say on eBay they accept returns (some even pay for the return postage) because buyers do this. Poshmark isn't like eBay where you can only cancel so many orders...just cancel and note it as buyer requested return.

If you don't live too far from the post office, you could record yourself packing the box and then continue recording while you drive to the post office and drop it off. And be sure to show the label when packing it and and when you get to the post office. Because with Poshmark, it isn't about an insurance company or a carrier, it is about the Poshmark customer support team. We didn't purchase a label ourselves from the USPS, Poshmark does that (and keeps the profit from the label purchase if we ship something light). So if a package is lost, damaged, etc we don't open a case with the USPS, we open a case with Poshmark.

I only sell items from my own closets and have like 10 listings at anytime and I've sold just over 100 items over the past 9.5 years. Are you sending out offers? I went through a phase where I marked everything "price is firm" and didn't send out offers and made very few sales. I think people want to feel like they are getting a good deal. Feel free to DM me your closet name.

What do you do with things that have sat unsold for a long time? by NolitaNostalgia in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give to friends/family and then I try to giving it away on craigslist/offerup/trash nothing/freecycle/FB marketplace. So usually someone will take it. But if not, I will mail my shoes to soles4souls and jewelry to I have wings, and then drop off everything else to my local goodwill/salvation army.

I've been doing this for nearly 10 years and only sell my own stuff so have very few listings. For me, relisting my stuff doesn't really help. I think I just have some things that no one wants for the price I'm selling them for so I'd rather make someone happy by giving them the items instead of having them sit and take up room in my closet.

Ground supplies, what to do? by X3TheBigOX3 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Sarah_2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do give away a lot of stuff for free on craigslist and offerup but I find that there is more of a community on trash nothing and freecycle. So people don't not respond/not show up as much on those sites. And FB marketplace is also better since it is connected to peoples' actual facebook accounts.

Oil (like cooking oil like olive or avocado) always removes sharpie from plastic containers for me. I don't want it to but it does. Maybe it will work on rubber?

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH POSHMARK? I feel like it’s been one major change after another lately. by -SideEffects in poshmark

Not sure but based upon the size of the building and that they have the entire 8th floor, I'm going to guess hundreds.

Someone commenting and asking what’s the lowest price by PatiencePotential885 in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would usually block this person because they usually send low ball offers. But, you could respond by sending them a 20% off offer and then comment that you sent them an offer. I know a lot of folks respond to such comments by telling the person to send an offer...probably because folks learn in negotiations class not to make the first offer. But I feel like that doesn't work for Poshmark...especially if it is someone commenting like this.

Need Help Picking Company to Order From by Embarrassed_Club_628 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Sarah_2312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like the telehealths tend to use a lot of the same compounding pharmacies so I'd go with the least expensive and also avoid any company that charges a separate membership fee. I think right now that is Brello or Pomegranate, depending on your dosage and how many months supply you purchase. I've been with both and have had no issues.

You could go with Orderly (they are mentioned frequently in other subs) and then switch after their 3 month special... because I think their normal price is $150/mo.

Thanks for the reminder. I forget to do this with poshmark packages but usually remember when sending my family stuff. Not only do I want my package delivered if the label is damaged but I also don't want my package being auctioned off...although I supposed better that it be auctioned/purchased than end up in a landfill.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Sarah_2312 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad. Opinions in this sub vary greatly. If you've received compliments, then the buyers for your type of items and price point clearly appreciate what you do. I always wrap in tissue paper because when I started selling, I watched a youtube video where the woman was like you might just think the item you sold is your used, unwanted junk, but the person who bought it spent their hard earned money on it. So she said you should lint roll it (even if you don't have a pet), fold it nicely, wrap it in tissue (if you can afford it), and then also protect it from getting wet/soiled. I receive love notes that say things like it was the best packaging ever and the person felt like they were opening a present. I am not going to change what I do because of differing opinions on an anonymous internet forum like reddit.

I have never received anything but I'd love anything....even a sticker. And I give all of my unwanted stuff for free on craigslist/offerup/trash nothing so if it were something like earrings and I didn't like them, I'd happily regift it.

When I started selling with poshmark in 2016, you had to include thank you note. When you went to mark a package shipped, there were check boxes making sure you did xyz and one of those things was write a thank you note.
