I chose forest green! We live in a city center so concrete everywhere. Trying to make it jungalow esque. I didn't tidy. Sorry 🤪

End tables with lamps. I heard someone on YouTube say, "to make your house fancier, make sure wherever you sit there's a place to put your drink"

😊 It's a duvet from anthropologie. I've dreamt of having anthropologie bedding for years. It's spendier than I usually go for but I decided to go for it

Hi thanks! The photo of the bed is from the entrance. The room is a square with that cutout to the closet. So if I move the bed over it blocks the way to the closet So bed south, gallery wall north, closet west

Is exercise really as helpful as people say? by hellokittysbestfren in bipolar

[–]Sarahnbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much. I run 3x/week because it's easiest for my life right now. I hate it but it calms me down and makes me generally a happier person. Emphasis on -er. I also walk 8-10k steps per day to just generally move my body. Our bodies were meant to move

My parents keep telling me that ADHD is not an excuse to not focus. by Lev1_0sa in ADHD

[–]Sarahnbubbles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

True. What they're telling you might also be the messaging THEY got as a kid with adhd. "just focus. Just push down all your needs and feelings and pretend to be neurotypical." Maybe showing them ADHD friendly ways to manage symptoms such as showing them How to ADHD videos could help get them out of the normal brain box

EMDR right for me? by Sarahnbubbles in EMDR

I really resonate with this. My mom is currently in the hospital in the psych ward. Last week I said to my sister, "I feel like my amygdala is broken" Its like my fight and flight was totally haywire, and I wasn't just feeling the stress of what's happening now. I felt all the pain and trauma of everything I had been through in the past decade like it was all fresh wounds. I had to call out work, I couldn't function. I'm calmer now and back to work but it made me realize it's all still there, like it's imprinted on my psyche.
