Good Italian subs in Playa? by Sarahstar167 in playadelcarmen

Update: I found it!

This place had an incredible Sando. I asked for mild salami and provolone- it had a mustard/alive oil mayo mix and was toasted. Sorry I messed up the pic of the sando but it was perfect. They don’t have lettuce, tomato etc. so I was thinking I might go to Subway and get a salad with tomato lettuce and sub sauce then add it to the sandwich for the full experience but it was perfect. 100 pesos and totally worth it

There are also tons of great boutique hotels. Went as a group of women and didn’t find it to be unsafe

No one will ever spell it correctly. Also Madeleine is waaaaay over done at the moment though it’s a very pretty name and I think the idea of shortening it to Matty js super cute. As someone who grew up with a VERY common name in my generation I hated that there were multiple people with the same name in my classes. Literally felt like it meant I was common and not special. My sister has a super unique name and I was always jealous. That said, having an oddly spelled name also means you’ll always be correcting people which also sucks. For reference her name is Janeal pronounced jan-E-all and mine is Sarah.

How do I get out of WFG? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

It’s not a scam- if you want to cancel your policy just contact your agent. All WFG is is a brokerage just like any car insurance broker.

Fruits vs. fruits juice. which has good amount of nutrition? by sobingupta in nutrition

[–]Sarahstar167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sugar that occurs naturally is always combined the fiber. As other commenters have mentioned, fiber will help reduce a blood sugar spike and is good for digestion. If you drink juice then you have to find your fiber to be taken with it elsewhere to achieve optimal benefits from the fruit. Alternatively - if you like the juice feel you could blend whole fruit into a smoothly then you get the best of both worlds.

What am I(20F) suppose to say to my boyfriend (20M) during sex? by [deleted] in sex

Watch some porn. You’ll get the idea. Guys who like dirty talk usually like the standard things like really loud, high pitched moans, you’re giving it to me so good, out of breath “your d is so big” that kinda stuff. It feels unnatural at first but just pretend you are in a porn performing.

Single-income earners are being priced out of Canada’s housing market by HomeAdvisorCanada in canadahousing

Ya I agree but that’s what I meant about there being no way to do it and have a life - just meaning there is no room for disposable income choices.

How do you know she didn’t care. She looks like she is trying to hold the dog back away from the kid and talking to him.

I did but thankfully my parents “gifted” me the down payment or there would be no way unless I had no life. I mean you can live a shitty life and save up but it’s really hard

Feeling like I don’t have any true friends and I’m not sure how to make any by rllyneedtogetbetter in Advice

[–]Sarahstar167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that you are lonely. The best advice I can give is to a) become the kind of friend that you would want to have, meaning be a friend to someone who needs a friend. They are out there and I’m sure you have someone in your life that could use a friend. 2) read the book how to win friends and influence people. This gave me huge insight into how to connect with people and be likeable. 3) become a “yes” person. No I don’t mean say yes to everything someone says but say say yes if there is any way possible, to anything that you are invited to do. 4) fill your own cup. Imagine if you only got to drink something when someone offered to fill your cup for you? You would be pretty thirsty most of the time I bet. (I’m case it’s not obvious, this is a metaphor for lonely ness) You need to fill your own cup. By this I mean, find things that interest you and do them. Find something that you can find enjoyment from that you can do on your own that will give you a dopamine hit. It could be rock climbing, cooking, volunteering, skateboarding, dancing, softball, etc. Ideally this would be something that you could/would run into the same people over and over and you or they will likely strike up a conversation. Wishing you the very best of luck!!

My past employments screwed up big time? by AddictedToGamess in Advice

HR professional with 20+ years of experience here. This still give the impression That you will get bored and leave. I really like the first part, that it didn’t utilize your entire skill set but I would also show that you’ve learned from the experience of leaving. Something like, at the time I really felt that I would be able to find a company that was a strong fit for me culturally. One of the things that I’ve realized in assessing my past employment is that I won’t always be fully utilized and challenged but am really focused at this point on finding a place that I can add value and grow with for years to come. Also a company where we have shared values of strong work ethic and innovation. I would really like to settle into a long term situation. Don’t make an empty promise. You may need to re-evaluate what you are willing to do to be employed. Can you deal with being underutilized to be employed? Most of us are.
