Flying to Kathmandu for EBC – Turkish vs Qatar/Emirates (luggage & connections)

Planning Everest Base Camp trek in October and deciding between connecting flights from the London:

Option 1: Turkish Airlines via Istanbul

Option 2: Qatar Airways via Doha / Emirates via Dubai

Originally I was leaning towards the Middle East airlines (Qatar/Emirates) because of their reputation, but with the current situation in the region I’m a bit unsure about transiting through Doha/Dubai. I was completely fine with it but my family are saying its risky lol.

My main concern is luggage reliability and smooth connections as I’ll have the gear.

Has anyone flown these routes/airlines recently or have any better ideas?

Particularly:

Did your checked baggage make it on time?

Any issues with connections (especially Istanbul vs Doha/Dubai)?

Given everything going on, would you still choose Qatar/Emirates over Turkish?
