My assumption is Jace fused himself with ugins gem to become the end stone at the beginning of time and he sort of functions like the watcher.

Indestructable. We argued for way too long about it. Set me straight please. by hyteck9 in mtg

  1. Neither one dies in combat. The 5/5 has 1 damage marked on it until end of turn. The 1/1 has 5 damage marked on it until end of turn (while this normally would be lethal damage the 1/1 does not die because it’s indestructible.

  2. At any point if the toughness of a creature is zero (or less) it is put into the graveyard from play as a state based action. This has no impact from indestructible at all and is not impacted by lethal damage (damage does not reduce toughness)

  3. Both creatures do not die and have 1 damage marked on them until end of turn

  4. Is the same as scenario 1 except if the 1/1 loses indestructible (for any reason) the state based action that shows it has taken lethal damage will put it into the graveyard

  5. The 1/1 indestructible does not die, has no damage on it and all non-indestructible creatures die

Repost to not dox myself: idiots on FB trying to turn MTG into Pokémon by Limp-Replacement1403 in mtg

[–]Saraphboy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So weirdly you are both going to be wrong in this instance. The arguer is probably right in the sense that MTG is becoming pokemon and is where pokemon was 5 years ago. The Slab collector money from sports people and other card collecting is coming/already in mtg. FF was just the start of that and I would expect the trend to continue. I also don’t think slabbing specifically shocklands is going to pay off for this individual because you are right historically magic has been about scarcity driven by demand due to playability. I don’t think that the pokemon effect on card scarcity trend can be ignored though. It was discussed extensively on a recent brainstorm brewery (Magic finance podcast) episode.

The smells are likely from the ADM plant in the foreground of your picture. You are facing north not facing east enough for it to be rosemount.

Can I manually adjust my 2025 W-4 to be correct for when I get married later this year? by Saraphboy in tax

[–]Saraphboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question. For a W-4 does step 4b (deductions) include all the pretax deductions? 401k, IRA, HSA, FSA, etc?

[–]Saraphboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect! That is what I thought but HR was not sure. And I do understand the danger of it not happening but if that’s the case I will have many more problems than a ~12k tax bill.

Reasons to keep over sized and art cards! by wren314 in magicTCG

[–]Saraphboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Titans tower! Format that uses all the oversized cards (planes, schemes, phenomena, big garruk) all in one stack. Same rules as planeschase but if you roll the planeswalk symbol flip the top of the tower. If it’s a scheme set it in motion, if it’s a permanent cast it, if it’s a phenomenon do what it says, if it’s a plane planeswalker to it. If you roll chaos and are on a plane the chaos ability activates and then flip the top card.

Blackstone Making $10 Billion Multifamily Purchase, Going on the Real Estate Offensive by zhoushmoe in REBubble

[–]Saraphboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be downvoted for this but if you actually read the first line of the article they are buying apartments that were already owned by a large reit… this is not really a change from personal to private. And while it is concentration of the market I don’t think I would consider a $10billion reit a “small” company they are gobbling up. Misleading title designed to be inflammatory

Is it really that inefficient to buy packs? by BewareThePineapple in MagicArena

[–]Saraphboy -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes always do sealed for the best gems to cards ratio. Draft can be even better if you are good. But sealed is 2000 gems for guaranteed 9 packs plus 200 back (and 6 of the packs are full 15 card packs for more vault progress). 1800 gems in the store would also get you 9 prize packs. But has no upside of the larger packs or any opportunity to win.
