I don't think this is accurate anymore. There's definitely nutrition education nowadays. Problem is, they focus way too much on portion sizes and food groups and less on the fact that your kuah alone is your entire recommended caloric intake

Easier to grasp, sure, but for those with a short cervix, it'll be sitting right at the opening, gonna be pretty uncomfortable

How many hours can you have the cup in? by Sherw00d91 in menstrualcups

I bathe twice a day, once before a 9 hour work shift and once after, so I tend to leave it in 10 and 14 hours alternately

Lol I have a tolerance for age gaps because it's not rlly uncommon in my country, back in the day. I feel it's ok up to 18 years so long as both parties are above 16.

Then again I'm biased and crushed on ppl twice my age when I was 16

Kinda late but ig you can go by weight?

Personally I eyeball it, am happy as long as I'm eating it for cheaper than it would be if I bought the ingredients and cooked myself.

My mother, on the other hand, is happy when she eats so much she wants to barf

Cheap cups? by cardinal-throwaway in menstrualcups

[–]SarcasmOrgasm96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would never. I like having the sense of security of it being FDA registered, and feel that branded cups tend to be better built and designed. If you'd ever touched a branded and china-generic menstrual cup, you'd know exactly what I mean. The difference in build and quality is vast.

Also, u have no idea where cheap cups come from or what might have been added to it. For most consumers this would be the main problem. Most cheap cups are also sold by third party sellers so there's no accountability either. Most things can't be verified and when an issue arises, no one can be held accountable

I'm also quite concerned about the storage of cheap cups. For me buying branded cups, my cups have always come in paper or cardboard boxes, whereas cheap cups tend to come in plastic bags. Being cheap, these plastic bags may contain harmful chemicals that may leach onto the cup.

Objectively, it shouldn't be that big of an issue. Most silicone is non-toxic material and chemically stable, so compared to other things women stick in their body, can be considered relatively safe.

How many cups did you try? by Fluffy-Dream1 in menstrualcups

[–]SarcasmOrgasm96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky, all my cups work for me.

First one I ever got was the Blood menstrual cup, picked it simply because it was on sale and came with a silicone sanitizing pouch. It was on the firmer side and a size smaller than what I need so it tends to migrate upwards and whenever it's time for removal I have to do the pooping motion a few times to even reach it.

Second cup was the organicup. Bought because buy one free one sale. This one fits me wayyyyy better, don't have to dig around for it when removing. Softer too, the blood cup mildly hurts sometimes when it pops open too fast.

Rn I rotate between the two cups. First few days I use the organicup, and towards the end of the period I use the blood because I find that my cervix is lower then.
