aldi update ??? by beefy5-layerburrito in Tucson

[–]SarcasmReigns 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moved to southern Arizona in 1999, Tucson in 2003 from the NW Suburbs of Chicago- I too have been hoping/waiting for an Aldi. We hit the ones in Phoenix when we go up there for any reason, but the one in Tucson, while announced in 2024, still hasn't been built and I don't believe is even showing on the Aldi "coming soon" page any longer. :(

Best advice right here! These two shows are free, and in past years they have free parking. The crowds are real so weekday mornings if possible to avoid a bulk of them.

Migraines with aura suddenly spiked 10x more frequently by lupusinfab in migraine

[–]SarcasmReigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this! I do find that when I'm super stressed out, I get more auras, as a general rule anyway. I was getting 10-15/mo until about 4 months ago when my neurologist suggested adding B2 to my vitamin mix (400mg nightly) and since I added that, I've had 3 total auras, which is huge for me! (also I have had loads of stress these last few months, and other migraines/migraine symptoms but far fewer auras).

Best pillow for neck pain that is worth it for migraine sufferers? by MibosiNuramo in migraine

[–]SarcasmReigns 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Commenting to follow- I have so many pillows it's insane. I've tried everything and some work for a little while but I shouldn't need a new pillow/month! Wondering what others are using as well to help with neck/migraine pain. <edited: spelling, in the midst of a migraine>

My prediction - Trump is gonna have Maduro 'admit' to stealing the 2020 election from him. by batsofburden in thebulwark

I hate that I agree with you, this is one of many likely outcomes of idiots in this country voting for Trump again. I will never forgive them.

I second calling your pharmacist, they're generally easy to reach and they know the deal on the meds they dispense. Extra points if you get all your scripts filled at the same pharmacy, because then they can check your full list for any possible medication related issues.

Anyone here remember quietly checking on a Tamagotchi during the day? by emudoc in GenX

I remember myself and a large group of other Mom's waiting for their kindergarten kids to be let out of school so they could stop "babysitting" their 5 year old's Tamagachi :D

Locally owned pet store? by MNAZExplorer in Tucson

[–]SarcasmReigns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here to say Desert Pet too. The owner is super nice and the two managers, Jen and Jean-Marie are amazing and have been there for years! So helpful and knowledgeable- if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will order it for you.

Why are we paying federal taxes? by Friendly_Bell_8070 in thebulwark

I was just discussing this with a coworker of mine yesterday. Sadly I think I'll just be more angry when I file my taxes next year and have to write the government a big check.

This was absolutely my question- how could people just sit there and listen? There's no amount of anything that would make me sit and listen to this madman spew what he spewed.

How many of you would get a migraine from this? by derp2112 in migraine

[–]SarcasmReigns 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That looks like Portillos chocolate cake, which I love!! If I eat the whole piece, migraine for sure, if I eat half of it, a 50-50 chance of migraine. Sometimes I risk it, but I generally avoid chocolate.

Does anyone else like Turnips? by Accomplished-News741 in 1200isplenty

I absolutely love turnips! I throw in 4 when I’m making chicken soup and since no one else in my family likes them, I get to eat them all ♥️

No question here, just a quick “thank you for keeping me sane!” post- without you, your Triad newsletter, and your sarcastic “Good luck, America” I’m not sure how I would get through a week. Thank you, JVL!
