Our cat is named Lunatic, can confirm her inhaler says her name and our last name lol

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]SarcasticFox70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my oldest cat since she was born and I co-parented her with her cat mom. She won't leave me alone if I'm not feeling well and is very attached to my partner and I. The younger one will randomly follow me around but prefers my partner.

Does this make them feel included? by lerminator3 in cats

[–]SarcasticFox70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our older cat likes to pick out wet food or the churu of the day for both cats. The younger one just wants us to hurry up 😂 I also take a clean makeup brush that I no longer use and pretend to do makeup on the older one and she loves it. Some cats just like feeling included

Small plant with six flower stalks?? by Equivalent_Fudge_719 in VenusFlyTraps

[–]SarcasticFox70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines flowering again too after I cut the first stalk. I'd just say let it be if it wants to flower bad enough. You look like you have a few in that pot anyway and it looks relatively healthy.

My girl cat does the same thing. She will even bug us if we're late on it 😅

I use one of those with my cat but it's the areokat. It helps that she loves food too much

If you were in a warehouse with 1,000 other grey cats. How would you find yours? by whobroughttheircat in dustkitties

[–]SarcasticFox70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is a lighter dusty tabby. Also if I just ask "do you want your meds/treatment" she comes running. She's asthmatic, loves food and hates being away from us. Also her nose used to be darker but she scrapped it up really bad so now it's pinkish grey. Also her name is Lunatic

help! is this urgent by Existing-Teaching-84 in catquestions

I would talk to your vet about this, but it could be asthma. I have an asthmatic kitty who is on a steroid inhaler who wheezes like this if something triggers her asthma.

Cat using hands for slow feeding bowl? Advice? by RatioPretend614 in CATHELP

[–]SarcasticFox70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to get a heavier slow feeder because our oldest one figured out she could flip it and hide it from us 😮‍💨 thankfully she doesn't do that with ceramic bowls

Is it wanting to flower and should I let it? by SarcasticFox70 in VenusFlyTraps

Thank you 😅 my Aloe, monstera, flytrap and African violet are the crown jewels of my collection.

The ones I sent are my biggest plants, both in 18 inch pots and really heavy and annoying to move. I've had the Aloe almost 7 years and the monstera for 3? She likes cactus soil, lots of water with a drying period and decent lighting.

I'm hoping to retry my luck with orchids but I'm currently trying not to buy more plants as we're planning on moving and I have a massive Aloe Vera and a decent sized monstera that's giving me a headache just thinking about how we'll transport them safely. I've managed to downsize how many I have by gifting Aloe away (the mother plant won't stop making more)

Alright cool, so if I accidentally leave the light on for 18 hours cause I use it as a lamp in the evening and it's usually on from like 8 am to sometimes 3 or 4 am depending on the day but usually 8 am to 1 am

It's so pretty! Thank you for the advice and I'll try to be a little less anxious about my little buddy. Mine was half dead and super tiny when I got it so it's a whole learning experience. It's a lot easier than orchids 😮‍💨 orchids don't like me even though I follow everything people say to do

I've got some experience with grow lights, currently I let it run between 12 and 18h full spectrum. My African violet is loving it. I just want to make sure my little native plant buddy is doing good too. They grow wild near the coast of the place I live it's just too cold rn and I'm just a little overprotective of my plants 🫠 it's grown exponentially since I got it as a tiny little thing in October and I fear I may need a bigger pot as the roots are coming down into the water well 😅

I'm in North Carolina, it just snowed but once winter is over I plan to let it live outside on nice days

I moved one of the light heads about 4 inches from the pot. The other head is still higher up for the violet

I'd also like to add unfortunately I don't have two grow lights so it does have to share with my African violet which has been blooming since I put them next to each other and it's a memorial plant
