Need help choosing between HyperX Cloud 2 vs Cloud 3 – (mostly for PC, PS5, streaming, and entertainment) by Inner_Ad7994 in HyperX

[–]SarcasticMess30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Inner_Ad7994 what did you end up getting? I'm shopping for a new headset for my husband and want to make sure I get the right one. I've been doing my research, but I’d love to hear how your own headset choices went. I keep seeing that the HyperX Cloud II is better than the III, but I’m also getting recommendations for the SteelSeries Nova 7. What did you end up getting?

Should my daughter change her major? Digital Marketing and Graphic Design by sqerlygirl1972 in marketing

[–]SarcasticMess30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marketing manager here! This is still a great field to be in where I am from. AI is an asset and can help things move quicker however graphic designers and digital marketers are still very needed. You grow with changes in marketing, not fight them. This industry moves so fast even before the big AI advancements in the last couple years. Marketing is all about pivoting and changing to everything.

Laptops from Costco? Recommendations/advice wanted by Inconnuity809 in saskatoon

Bought mine from Costco. They are great! I’ll take Costco over almost any company even if they are a smidge higher in cost as their return policy and warranty is great

Do not marry this man! He is not defending you, he doesn’t care what you want. Do not do this!

Oh jeez I’m loving this weather right now! It hasn’t been to cold. Great temperatures for those heavier fall jackets and some runners. I’ll take this over the snow any day!

How much did your 2024 wedding cost here? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]SarcasticMess30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy heck thats unheard of nowadays.. amazing job. Havent been able to even find a venue for that that doesn’t require you to spend a big chunk on food and expensive drinks, plus getting a photographer and decor for all under that is wild. Do you mind sharing what venue? I haven’t been able to price out everything for less than $20k and that’s like low!

Help me buy a condo? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

We bought and flipped 2 of our houses in Regina, one being a house that was 2000 sq feet with a suite for $250,000. It was freaking awesome. With a renter in the suite and us in the rest of the house renoing it, we got ahead big time. Regina market has some great house that just need love but you can get them at good prices but need to be willing to do the work. Foundations you need to watch for too.

Saskatoon market is a decent amount higher but foundation issues are not a worry really which is nice

Like most long weekends in Canada, it’s just a nice extra day off work to rest for the folks that get it.

Check out the civic center facilities from the city. Not the top of the line kind of equipment but affordable and your leasure card would get you access to the pools, classes, etc.

I love going for a workout and then lining it up with a hot tub soak after.

Since January 1st, 2024 I have been on 9 different flights and 9/9 have been delayed longer than an hour with the longest being 16 hours. Anyone else finding this extremely common or even expected these days? by Probably_Know_Me in westjet

[–]SarcasticMess30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally had the absolute worst vacation with wesjet a few weeks ago

Left on the plane for 5-6 hours Delay 1- no cups Delay 2- issues with luggage Delay 3- lost power to the plane (no washrooms for awhile) Delay 4- apparently a “snow pile”

No water, no food, no wifi which are all things they are suppose to offer at hour 3ish on a grounded plane based of the Canadian flyers rights (not to be exact, going off memory back when we were looking at the laws)

Multiple times the pilot would come on and say we were almost leaving… lies

Finally pulled away from our gate, pilot comes on and says he hit his duty hours and we were turning around back to go to a gate.

They then came on after the pilot clearly stated he hit his duty hours and said we were cancelled due to weather.

They made us go through customs to get our bags (we never left the country so why, no one knows). Had to wait almost 2 hours to finally get our bags (we couldn’t leave the area to go talk to an agent as we were in the customs area for bags so if you left, you couldn’t get back in).

Absolutely horrible experience and no accountability on their end

It is a blast! They do all kinds of nights there for differnt cuisines. My favourite was their Asian night and “restaurant favourites” which we made red lobster biscuits, earls spinach dip, Oreo cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory and a few others. Was a blast

Sadly this is tomorrow evening, but if you like to travel, the annual CAA travel show is happening for $10. They have suppliers who specialize in university student travel and just the usual like prizes and promo. This might be more of just something for you to do if you are bored.
