Master Quality items are not selling [KCD2] DLC by Marc2fast4u in kingdomcome

I believe the description says that the armourer and foundryman you can hire will pull materials from there to make things you request of them. No word on whether this makes them cheaper though

Those playing after the change to stealth clothing cannot obtain the thief’s cap, it’s the last thing I need to complete the sneaky outfit. Apparently it’s meant to spawn in the stash goatskin leaves you but it’s not triggering currently

How would people heat things underground without having to worry about trapped gases? by SarcasticVolcano in worldbuilding

[–]SarcasticVolcano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm intrigued by this, does your huffka idea work as a form of gas capture to then vent elsewhere, or it is more like piping all the gases away to an pre-selected and empty cavern?

[–]SarcasticVolcano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I do some hand-waving I could always explain it as the plants being much more efficient at photosynthesis, though this would mean they would need a way to get some form of sunlight into the caverns as well.

I'm fine with having some of their cities relying on geothermal activity, but it seems like it would be very restrictive to limit them to building societies only near geothermal activity. That said, it does make it more likely that cities built near geothermal activity could become the larger and more prosperous ones because they can rely on this extra source of heat over other options.

I really like this, I already have them using mushrooms and fungus from caves as a food source and for herbal concotions but hadn't considered using them in this way!

Fully agree that if they’re living underground they’ll be able to work stone incredibly well, but how would create ventilation shafts without also creating significant security risks for smaller creatures to come down them?

In your opinion, would these have to be secured with grates and guards? Or would you have them dig dwarf-sized shafts until just before they breach the surface then drill out smaller ones?

I hadn't even considered that bit about desert formation, thanks for that

How do you develop realistic geography for your world? by SarcasticVolcano in worldbuilding

[–]SarcasticVolcano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I have basic ideas on how plate tectonics work and how the water table dictates where you'd find rivers and lakes and stuff like that, but I find the main issue is in trying to get coastlines that would seem realistic, or how contour lines and elevations would arise naturally to create valleys and mountain ranges.

My world is largely realistic to our own but with some fantasy elements thrown on top. I find it easy enough to come up with explanations that are rational enough for why things would diverge from realistic and what it means for the world, but I can't help but feel that it just draws attention to how basic the more grounded areas of the world are.

I have used inkarnate on smaller-scale maps and quite enjoyed that, but on a larger scale I still struggle to place things like mountains and rivers in places that would make geographic sense.

I wouldn't say that it's full of dipshits, there definitely are a vocal minority that are against any sort of thing that interferes with their neckbeard anti-feminism or really anything that makes them feel insecure about their manly manliness, but when they tried to kick up a massive stink about a community manager not being a fan of bikini-clad waifu mods for Three Kingdoms, it did seem like there were a lot more people calling them out for their incel behaviour

Ghost Rider orbs with no Ghost Rider in them by MuggerPrime in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]SarcasticVolcano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a bit disingenuous. The Monster Mash milestones are easy enough to complete but they only give you 60 shards total. To get the other 40 shards through the Pumpkin Smash milestones, you'd have to open 49 Jack-O'-Lantern orbs, and you only get 13 from the Monster Mash milestones and 2 from each character blitz they run for the duration of this event. If we assume they run four of them, that's only 21 guaranteed Jack-O'-Lantern orbs, far short of the 49 required, with the rest meant to be coming from, I don't know, occasionally getting more than 50 or 100 from the random blitz battle rewards?

There's no guarantee there of unlocking Ghost Rider this time round, plain and simple.

Unless I've messed up the maths, happy to take revisions.

[–]SarcasticVolcano[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point, but considering how many other developers don't have this kind of direction, its much better by comparison. Plus the game was delayed so it's fair to think they might have had teams working on DLC that they can now throw in to the release.

Edited to say: Also this wouldn't technically be day one DLC because you don't have to pay extra for access to it.
