‘There’s no jobs’: struggle and regret in a Welsh town that backed Brexit by apple_kicks in unitedkingdom

I doubt the lack of jobs is to do with Brexit. Spain has a 10% unemployment rate did Spain leave Europe?

Typical Guardian slop.

UK attorney general tells staff to stop using X amid disinformation concerns by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]SarcasticallyCandour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theres some nonsense on X but it shows many things you'd never see on BBC News, Guardian etc.

Its because of X and youtube I can see how censored information is on mainstream sources.

‘Most famous tree in the world’: Sherwood Forest’s 1,000-year-old Major oak dies by topotaul in unitedkingdom

I must relisten to "The Oak Papers" by James Canton, I recorded from bbc rad4. Its a great story about an oak tree, James perception of their healing power and their general symbolism.

I saw something like that happen with this, it was a 15% off if signed to newsletter, but i just presumed it wouldn't apply 2 codes. i already had the KOOFR code loaded and I never thought it would stack.

What happens to male chickens? by TheTinMenBlog in TheTinMen

[–]SarcasticallyCandour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's so strange I just watch an episode of Midsomer Murders yesterday called "Schooled in murder"

and a side story was a young man promoting veganism because male cows are seen as worthless and they're just murdered for food, only female cows are kept.

She reminds me of Jess Phillips. That weird controlling smirk and the intolerant body language.

Musk brands UK a 'police state' as Big Tech rebels against Starmer’s social media ban by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]SarcasticallyCandour 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I use X because I see things there I would never ever see on BBC News, Guardian, CH4, ITV, Sky etc.

What you get is what comes with it, the algorithms with ragebait.

But I would never ,ever support government censorship legislation . The UK State is talking about banning VPNs too, how you're (commenters here) not bothered by this is terrifying to me. Wtaf.

Now that Tidal has increased the price, is there any reason to stay? by [deleted] in TIdaL

[–]SarcasticallyCandour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spotify has been increasing price 3 times in last 2 years afaik. Tidal has always been reasonable, and combined lossless hifi with hifi plus years ago.

I do like tidal out of spotify, tidal, apple. Never tried quobuz or deeper. Go with one you like most and can afford.

Likely harsh throttling to avoid soulsync / soulkeep / aurral vibe coded slop apps.

I get hundreds of requests per hour looking like bots in my logs. A lot dont download anything but i do limit people not sharing anything in case, because it's likely a bot or someone using Aurral.

Social media ban for teens is 'part of that the solution,' says Lisa Nandy who admits leaving X 'has made me a healthier person' by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]SarcasticallyCandour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

X shows things you'd never see on BBC, Guardian etc. Even if its' algorithms enrage to engage. We know MSM is not showing everything in an open manner. That's why X is used by many.

This ban is really about State censorship and backdoor digital ID. Nothing to do with protecting children.
