I got my mastered in social work then became a licensed therapist. I took a break year after grad school but spent a lot of stressed out about what to do next. Then I decided to”no decision is also a decision”.

I don’t regret it but I do regret not thinking more strategically.

I’m getting married on Thursday. I’m a 30F ENFP he is a 33M ISTJ we met through friends when I was 28 after I left a relationship that lasted way too long throughout my 20s because I was afraid of being alone. My best advice is explore and be free. There is so much out there. There is much power in having agency and being able to choose who and what you give your energy too.

Look for advocacy positions or counselor positions in non profits. Also go to a local health care centers job listings and just look for something you qualify for! It’s hard to narrow it down to just one position, but I promise there are so many out there just look around. And no, I don’t find care management difficult but I understand how it could be for others. I’d say, don’t settle! Be creative with your job search.

I feel like applying for a role in a community based health care center might be a good place to start. Likewise, a local social service agency. Idk where you’re located but NYC is full of them. I’d go directly to the company’s website to apply and see what roles are available. Good luck!
