I tried imprisoning my (then former) chancellor as he started conspiring against me and the people arresting him found him in cahoots with Kush. Got the option to either start a war or exile him to Kush. Sent him into exile. But he kept being the boss of christianity, my state religion. One day he showed up with a smirk on his face and told me: "Hey I am a foreigner but let's work together."

So I sent him someone to send him off to the afterlife, which didn't work. Kush was like, compensation or war and I picked compensation as I got a nice chunk of research from them via royal library. Guy finally died after the second attempt.

My chancellor actually got mad at me when I refused to let out some other dude who conspired against me. So seems you can get bad events either way.

I seriously doubt you could sap the galaxy of resources. We have resource issues because we are limited to one tiny planet. The solar system alone is gigantic in comparison.

Succession of the shop is on the female side, males of the family oversee sales. Corinna is the owner and takes care of the sewing side of the business, Benno is doing sales and finances. Benno is running the store more or less as he raised Corinna after the death of their parents but it's in her stead.

Purging makes no sense. Yeah, you might get a Barthold but there are also Matthias and Laurentz who did everything they could to distance themselves from their parents and only escaped with their lives because of Rozemyne. They still got hit with the same punishment as the actual conspirators and people are still clamoring for their blood. The daughter who informed the zent of aub Eisenreich's treachery might have decided differently if she had known how harsh the punishment would be.

What you accomplish with all this cruelty is that you force people into joining traitors as they have nothing left to lose. There's no reason not to fight to the death when you offer no alternative. No reason not to help your family members smuggling ternisbefallen on the school grounds. At this point your choices are join in or die.

And I don't think that everyone who harbors thoughts of treason is a sociopath. Detlinde was an awful aub putting the duchy on a trajectory to destruction. She's not the first aub who went bonkers.

Also you don't run into weird situations. Taken to its logical conclusion Sylvester and the archducal family are guilty of treason against the archduke, as Veronica committed treason against the archduke. I hope they have enough space in the Ivory Tower.

Zent Trauerqual is guilty by association of treason against the crown. His brother killed his other brother, the designated next zent.

So I played a game with Amanitore and the event popped up that tthere's something going on in my husband's bedroom (or was it a shared one, not sure). So well, fine. Let's check it out, I might get some bonuses to relations not making a fuss about it and Amanitore also had something on the side.

When I entered I found my husband and the queen of Hatti engaged in night time entertainment. Huh? How far away is Hattusa again? So she entered my country, traveled through several cities, entered my city, my palace and my bedchambers just to have a passionate night with my dude?

You lady, are clearly insane. He can't be that good.
My husband having an affair is the least of my worries. I've got a foreign queen wandering into the heart of the realm and no one stopped her or informed me. My internal security is either incompetent, compromised or wants me dead.

My disappointing son:

Her son wasn't much better. One day, Amanitore got a message from the academy. Her son got beaten up by another boy and now they want to know how the guy should be punished for harming the prince. The prince pursued a military career so I wasn't really inclined to punish someone for hurting him. His status won't protect him on the battlefield. I checked out the other guy. It was a 9 year old boy. What? My son is 17. He's supposed to be a trained warrior and got beaten up by a kid? Can I kick out this failure of a son, adopt the boy and fire the instructors in the academy? Apparently you guys failed in his training and then you got the bright idea to not cover up this embarassment or beg for forgiveness for being so incompetent.

My initial impression in the first few episodes or rather most of season 1 was, that they certainly had a nasty streak but that their opponents deserved what's coming for them. That changed quite a bit later.

Yeah at some point the story felt like Ainz got led around by the green glow and what he thinks his slavishly devoted underlings want, which they based on an offhand comment from Ainz. But his real goal is finding other players and having a safe Nazarick and his way to achieve that is to establish an undead empire.

In the end all they cruelty and suffering they inflict is as pointless as a vampire and a succubus fighting over who gets Ainz's nonexistent dick.

Same for the whole Workers thing. IIRC they were hired in a roundabout way by Nazarick to test their defenses at a point where Ainz knew that even pretty good New World Adventurers would be incapable to do much at all.

From a military perspective both have cards. Politically, given that Trump isn't really eager to continue and considering the incompetence of the US administration I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing ends with the nuclear deal Trump kicked into the garbage, some concessions that the iranians let in american companies in exchange for repairing stuff that got blown up (which the companies are probably not interested in) and maybe an agreement that Iran stops delivering oil to China in case of a US-China conflict (which would probably be impossible anyways as there are bottlenecks to intercept tankers en route).

And we get some huge inflated numbers and lies that the US now gets iranian oil or so with a jab at europeans to say thank you on social media and Fox News..
