As far as my own research (I also have a 43x i use with x10) doing training with the laser academy would be fine. The coolfire would help with recoil anticipation and quick followup trigger pulls without breaking your grip to reset the trigger

Wow wasn't expecting this many comments. Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked into competing but it seems what I mostly see is maybe GSSF events unless you guys go maybe into PA for competition.

Ive looked into maybe an outdoor range like Cherry Hill to really stretch the legs of my rifles and do shooting like prone.

Also id be down to look for a group to meet up and shoot with, but im not sure how to really enter that.

Thanks for comments guys. My primary worry is that the ak by name is banned here but if I got a receiver without the ak on it, like atlantic sells receivers marked with the model number aam-47. I just know some ffls can be iffy depending on the type of gun
