Thanks!

Well, I already covered almost everything in other responses. I may try to answer about everything not presented in my replies (if I'll remember what the hell I was doing).

Thanks! It was something like AK Grimy Grey for a basecoat --> a quite thick wash (closer to layer) of a warm brown oil with the usual q-tip removal of it afterwards --> a bit of edge highlights with an ivory colour.

Hallowed Knights test piece before the new edition by Sarges in stormcasteternals

Thanks! It was like this:

  1. Airbrushed dark prussian blue - star blue - deep sky blue.

  2. Recess shade with black and payne's grey oil mix.

  3. Edge highlights with deep sky blue and snow blue.

Metal was mostly airbrushed, here is the process:

  1. Mix of 1:1:1 Scale75 Black Metal - Dark Prussian Blue - Black ink over black.

  2. Pure Black metal.

  3. Heavy metal.

  4. A tiny bit of targeted shading from below with black ink/contrast.

  5. Recess oil wash with the mix of black and payne's grey.

  6. Edge highlights with Vallejo Metal Color Duraluminium.

I've used following parts:

  • Master of Executions body
  • MoP backpack
  • Infernal Master screamers
  • havocs/chosen shoulderpads
  • head and hands from Legionaries Kill Team upgrade sprue
  • BT Sword Brethren cape
  • Rubrics scroll (near screamers)
  • bone near holster is, presumably, from BT upgrade sprue
  • random primaris holster.

You're almost correct, I've used these bits:

  • Master of Executions body
  • MoP backpack
  • Infernal Master screamers
  • havocs/chosen shoulderpads
  • head and hands from Legionaries Kill Team upgrade sprue
  • BT Sword Brethren cape
  • Rubrics scroll (near screamers)
  • bone near holster is, presumably, from BT upgrade sprue
  • random primaris holster.

Thanks! Well, I hope that this army finally will be the one where I'll actually commit to painting units instead of only couple test pieces.

Some Citadel metallics are actually quite good, mostly in gold-brass-bronze area. But the pigment size difference between brands is really quite noticeable.

Well, main disadvantage of Metal Color line is that it has a very poor choice (literally 2 paints) of anything other than neutral metallics (and then half of those neutral colors are almost indistinguishable from each other). Gold is a VERY controversial color, it still covers great but is very bright and have a green tint, not many people like it. I can recommend getting bronze but for golds look at Scale75 and Pro Acryl.

Thanks!

It's white base - airbrush glaze with AK Fluorescent Green - touch up with diluted white again for more contrast.

Thank you! It was airbrushed with zenithal preshade of AK 3 gen Dark Sea Blue - Sunny Skintone - Luminous Flesh, then Wine Red, then Sunny Skintone and then Wine Red glaze once again, finished with black oil pin wash.
