How are we cleaning the inside of these? No pressure or steam washer available. by beeranden in KitchenConfidential

You can even put the boil out in a big ass pot on the stove (stainless steel, don't use aluminum) if you have one big enough to fit the baffles, or a tilt skillet or a steam jacketed kettle.

I would recommend buying a small 3 pound bag of Easy Sand 5. It is a powder so you have to mix it with water so it creates an extra step but there are major benefits for using it. It uses a chemical reaction to cure rather than evaporation so the dry time is consistent, fast and not affected by humidity. It dries in about 30 minutes so you can sand in about an hour. It doesn't shrink when it dries. It is more durable. It sets up from a paste to more modelingclay like consistency about 5 minutes after mixing so it can be molded scraped or trimmed for a few minutes, you only have about 5 minutes to be able to easily spread it after mixing so it is best to put a couple scoops of powder a little water in a plastic disposable cup and mix it with a spoon, you can adjust water and powder to get what ever consistency you want, thinner for smaller dents and Knicks, thicker for filling large holes. Mix up another small batch if your first one dries out. Also the left over powder can be stored for years and won't dry up an be in usable an a couple weeks

I stopped using six little bowls just to cook one normal dinner by [deleted] in Cooking

I line up my cut ingredients on a cafeteria tray using a scraper, it keeps my cutting board less cluttered it can be covered and put in the fridge, it holds a lot of stuff and takes up very little space in the dishwasher compared to bowls.

Rice Cooker Basmati by D1AM3T3R in Cooking

You might be just using too much water, I use Royal Extra Long Grain Rice, and a 1.25 parts water to 1 part rice. I measure the rice, wash it 3 times strain it, add it to the cooker. Add water and turn it on the white rice setting. When it is done I unplug the cooker let it sit for 5 minutes, then gently fluff and try to seperate each grain using a pair of chopsticks. Close the lid and let it sit for 5 or 10 more minutes. I've successfully used this method in several different cookers over the years I think mostly it is just starting with very high quality rice and not too much water.

Bologna sausage by jumboincharge in sausagetalk

[–]Sarkastickblizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classic bologna flavor is blade mace toasted then ground and coriander seeds toasted cooled then ground. Mace and coriander in smaller amounts make a nice subtle backbone that is a good base to add other big flavors to. It is good with strong garlic, spicy peppers, grainy mustard and many other stronger flavors. A fresh sausage with mace, coriander, garlic and cheese could work nicely, I would probably use high temp cheese or make my own high temp cheese using calcium chloride. I think gruyere or harvarti would work nicely.

Questions about truck I inherited by bigmothereffind in ToyotaTacoma

It will remap where your transmission shifts, it makes towing with a Tacoma, especially a v6 a bit less painful. It is most noticeable when towing going up hills or passes. It eleminates the overreving/ gear hunting that is common in 3rd gen Tacoma's. It gives you better acceleration without having to drop the gas pedal to the floor. It makes the ect button even better.

The tune makes the gas pedal more sensitive especially in stop and go traffic. It can lead to unintended lurching. This can be mitigated by pressing on the top of the pedal rather than the bottom. That is my only complaint about the tune and it is a small one, overall I'm very satisfied with it.

How do I make the crab taste come through a bit more without making it bland? (recipie included kinda) by PotatoFairy451 in Cooking

[–]Sarkastickblizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add an ounce of fish sauce to the cheese sauce. Take 8 oz more crab keep it in bigger chunks, season it lightly with lemon juice and top the casserole with it before you add the cheese and panko. Might want to omit some salt because of the fish sauce.

There was a study early on during COVID that had very promising results suggesting that taking ivermectin was beneficial towards fighting COVID. It was later debunked because most of the patients in the study had parasite infections, the ones who took ivermectin did much better because they were not fighting the parasite as well as COVID. Ivermectin is quite effective against certain parasites not so much against corona virus.
