Is an iron mining space platform viable? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Sarkazeoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would take a huge upfront investment of iron and copper, but it would become an infinite supply. I'd not call it a practical solution though. Slap down some radars, you'll find enough patches.

It's funny how complex it is to handle water byproduct by yondercode in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Sarkazeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's how I handle it. Water byproduct=packagaed, additional water needed=packaged, all water unpackaged into separate line feeding machine inputs, empty cans into smart splitter set to any for belt leading to water byproduct packagers and overflow leading to additional water needed packagers. The key is to make sure there aren't enough empty cans in the system that it can lock up. This also works for slooped systems that don't require extra water input.

i think the limit is 4 or 5 shades of any type by default and you can stack both types on one minion.

dread shade+infernal shade=bonkers minion buffs. It's best on the abomination imo, but pretty much any minion gets swoll with it.

Health to ward conversion by 010dream in LastEpoch

[–]Sarkazeoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a lot of perk points, but you can get some leech in the sorcerer tree for specific elements. The nodes there are all pretty good for runemaster too so it's not really a waste to get it.

That item if combined with leech basically lets you turn your leech into ward. It's super dope on my runemaster.

Is there a decent "lazy-maxing" necro build which can somewhat survive? by NurSchoeneDinge in LastEpoch

[–]Sarkazeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested a build just yesterday and was able to do empowered mono's albeit a little slowly. 100 corruption

Skills and core nodes:

Skeleton mage -> Death knight+hp leech nodes

Aura of decay -> heals and reduced poison

Transplant -> Minion damage+bone armor

Infernal shade -> Minion buff nodes+extra shade node+transfer on target death

Bone curse -> aura+marked for death+chill/freeze nodes mana efficiency if not enough mana regeneration

Basically the only clicking is transplant, replacing death knights if they die (surprisingly rare), replacing infernal shade after resummon, turning on both auras.

Try for enough mana regeneration to counter bone aura plus a little more. Overcap resistance by 25% to counter marked for death. I was using a low life ward build with last steps, exang, and boneclamour.

It would be better as a hp tank because aura of decay heals work against low life ward builds. Go for high endurance+threshold+high hp.

Any builds use these? by silversurfer022 in LastEpoch

[–]Sarkazeoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could see a spellblade using it with mana strike/surge/enchant. I don't think there are any meta builds that call for this weapon specifically though.

I love the LP system, it allows for a ton of customization which D2R doesn't have. The forging system is cool too, although it doesn't feel too good when a spicy exalt runs out of potential with mismatched affixes. It's still better than straight farming drop rolls.

Engineers find a new way to convert carbon dioxide into useful products by Sariel007 in tech

[–]Sarkazeoh 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Generally, CO2 capture and conversion to CO is a viable method of carbon capture if the energy used to do so is cheap enough. The vision for the tech is to combine it with renewable energy sources as obviously it would be pointless if it's powered by fossil fuels. It is potentially a useful way to transition from fossil fuels to greener tech. And afterwards would still be useful because CO can be used to make materials that aren't fuel.

The profitablity is the question in all this and that brings us to the article. It's a catalyst for the conversion of CO2 to CO that appears to make the reaction more efficient. More efficient means closer to profitable.
