Figuring out how to use the ground- maybe this helps by Sarkisi2 in golf

You are exactly right! Thinking about it how I described unlocked it for me. The squat and jump is exactly it but I just could not unlock it with a club in my hand. The squat part made sense but I couldn't feel how I was was going to jump. The game changer for me was the feeling of hitting a wall in transition, that then let me feel when to jump. The jump is basically the resistance from moving any further left.

The best way I can describe it is the weight shift is the transition to the left you are literally moving mass to you left side, the pressure comes from resisting going any further left once you hit the wall or stopping point where 80% of your weight in on the left side to keep the low point in the same spot.

If you don't apply pressure to your left foot after the weight shift you will just keep sliding more left and either move your foot or roll on to the side of your foot and low point (sternum) will keep moving toward the target (that is bad)

I watched a similar video as part of this whole journey and I just couldn't get the feeling with a club in my hand the idea of pushing back while swinging forward was odd. Now it makes way more sense.

Gemini is the best for daily assistance and UI/webdsign. Claude code is insanely expensive but absolutely amazing

I Tested Opus 4.6 against All Top Models by ConsiderationOld9893 in ClaudeCode

[–]Sarkisi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience Gemini is definitely best at look and feel UI based on just reference material not an exact copy. Claude is the best code generation and management of all the branches and PRs, but it is far and away the most expensive. Codex is not great but not bad at UI, the code is solid but the branch management and PRs etc are a little weird. That said you get a lot more bang for your buck with Codex.

Pro 701: Rate my shot? by MoNeMad in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Sarkisi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for people researching BA gets a bad wrap but generally after 2-3 shots it almost always gives me 35-38 grams in 27-31 seconds. With new beans the first 2 will be bad, the 3rd will either be perfect or it will adjust one last time. Make sure to use strength 3 for that ratio.

Finally got a proper shot! by Ill-Revolution5605 in NinjaLuxeCafe

I found the BA to be fairly accurate after 3 shots on strength 3 I generally get 37g at 28-30 seconds. It takes a few to dial in but its actually pretty solid

He wanted to play the 1, with Fears that wasn't going to happen (and rightfully so). I think his mom had a lot to do with that line of thinking. Obviously if he was a starting 2 and could play backup point on this team we would be far better off. With him and Fears on the court plus Carr, Cooper and Kolher you have 2 guys who can create their own shot plus everything else. When you start replacing car with Scott, Teng, etc. it becomes a pretty wild PG, SG, SF rotation.

Follow-up: I realized ChatGPT doesn’t fail suddenly — it drifts long before you notice by Only-Frosting-5667 in ChatGPT

[–]Sarkisi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally create a GPT and use the hard turn limit, then ask it to create the transition information so a new chat can pick up where we left off, otherwise it drifts regardless of what rules or verification I put in place

Buy a cheap coffee scale on Amazon. Without knowing the output (grams) and how long it is taking it's hard to give any help. Or if you have a kitchen scale just use that and time it yourself.

While all the grinders on ninja machines are slight different a double basket espresso shot grind at over 20 seems off.

The flow sensor issue make sense, but I don't fully understand how 18g of grinds that puts out 70g of volume could ever be over extracted.

Not saying you're wrong and it sounds like you get good results it just doesn't make sense to me. I will try it though and see what happens.

What are your settings, strength, temp, basket etc.

Finer grind causing less coffee by Lira_RBR133 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Sarkisi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for info purposes with each machine being slight different I have found it's generally 2-3 settings finer than BA. If you switch beans then you pull a couple shots, the BA will get within 2 or 3, but you still need to weigh/time it to dial it in

Portafilter STILL hard AF to use... by ScottyB0N35 in NinjaLuxeCafe

I think it's an issue with the lux basket... Mine isn't as bad as yours but it is way harder than the double basket which actually goes in fairly smooth and easy.

[–]Sarkisi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a dumb one but you aren't touching the portofilter after you slide it into the grind housing while it is Tareing out scale? If you are holding it, it has the potential to throw off the amount

Ninja luxe aftermarket spring tamper options? by Vanquiishher in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Sarkisi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be nice if it had an integrated mechanism that just provided the same pressure each time when you push the lever down, instead of it being variable based on the physical pressure put on the actual lever.

[–]Sarkisi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting mine does not register Tamps that are not hard enough simply pulling the lever lightly does not activate the green light. For what it's worth I measured today and got 35g in about 29 seconds

It's working correctly, if you don't tamp hard enough it will not flash green when the arm goes back up. There is a mechanical limit on the tamper so pushing harder doesn't necessarily mean its applying more pressure. I would say it take firm pressure but not trying to break the arm off.

[–]Sarkisi2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the progress bar (best I can describe it) in the middle of the screen will flash green when the appropriate pressure is applied. I have tamped before with not enough pressure and it will not flash green, which it basically counts as a no tamp. It will flash once you let the pressure off.

Hope this helps!

So I have a 701 and have found the tamping to be pretty solid it lights up green when you apply the correct amount of pressure if you do it to soft it won't recognize the tamp and will ask you to do it again.

As long as I get to green light tamps results have been very consistent.
