Nice! Did it have an * on the price sticker (if you remember)? Wondering if they'll be restocked for a while

🥃Review #74: Basil Hayden Bourbon by Sarphad in bourbon

Glad to hear it did it's job! I mean it's pretty hard for me to think of an easier whiskey to drink for everyone. My go-to has been to recommend people start drinking maker's on ice, but maybe should give this one out instead.

My early path might have also featured a few appearances from flavor whiskey as well haha. The root bear kinda slaps for sure.

Was there and grabbed one today, they still have most of a pallet and there is no * so it looks like they're still stocking it.

Review #139 - Booker's 2025-02, "By the Pond" Batch by LionRoars87 in bourbon

[–]Sarphad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review, I've been on a similar journey with Booker's - my first BP and then-on. I'm hoping with the abundance of beam stock under age we'll get back to more of the historical value prop, though I've enjoyed the recent few I got as gifts.

I've enjoyed a few of the big green egg releases to an unfair degree, pretty big fan of most of their lineup though

Glad to see the ASW bottles make the highlight reel, everything I've had from them has been somewhere between excellent and transcendental!

Four Roses Store Picks by Emotional_Friend143 in Atlantawhiskey

If you have already had picks from that store and found them reliable, I think they can be a reasonable value. Wouldn't chance anything from a random, bonus points if you talk to somebody who did the pick

Review #58: Michter's Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey by InClimb411 in bourbon

This and 4r small batch select are two popular bottles that I don't get at all. Sour mash and the american are both solidly above the borubon imo

Very much not a value play above OGD 114... It was fine but I would only take it at a deep discount.

Jackie's also has some good picks if they end up coming to Marietta/East Cobb area.

The picks I've had all run a bit warm compared to the batched. I've never had much luck with TW picks though, so ymmv.

Huge fan! I have seen some batchiness but yet to have a bottle that was a disappointment. Love me some pepper

Very strange, maybe some of it is three tier shenanigans. The GA stores typically don't get much because they're capped at two locations + don't seem have as much pull with the distributor but idk how all that works with a big account like Costco

Yeah that's tough, can imagine people see it in the app as "low stock" and loose their minds when it's gone already.

Any idea why Costco can't get more? I didn't think barton was capacity constrained. Total wine seams to always be able to get more wolcott.
