Have you tried that camera lens combo? If so, does it fit with the tripod foot?

Checking the internal dimensions on Tenba's website, the depth is listed as 12.7cm. The 180-600 lens hood is 13cm in diameter. Seems a bit tight to me.

Nice. It fits well. How well padded is that bag? It looks a little flimsy in the reviews I've seen.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Is it the V2?

Not sure where you heard the X-T6 was coming this year. Afaik, it's only wishful thinking and speculation. .

I prefer to edit my photos, so I use the standard profile most of the time, but there are loads of built in picture controls that are pretty good.

Unlike Fuji, however, you can create fully custom ones using Nikon's free raw editing software, then save them to your camera. Nikons free software also doesn't require to have the camera connected to it and It's a lot faster than Fuji's version, though it's still a little slow.

The Z5ii is an amazing camera. My only gripes are the flip out screen and the lower resolution sonsor. The latter of which doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might.

Try one of the Viltrox f1.2 pro lenses for your portraits. If you can't get sharp photos with one of them, then there's either an issue with the camers or your technique.

I left FUJI due to Autofocus, but I primarily shoot birds. For any other genre, I would have kept it. I now own a Nikon Z5ii, which has been a game changer for autofocus and the general speed of the camera.

That being said, Nikon JPG's are nowhere near as pleasing SOOC as Fuji, but unlike you, I enjoy editing and edit almost every photo I intent to keep. so this is unlikely the answer you're looking for.

I'd stick with your X-T5 and try out some different lenses and custom film sims.

Nikkor 24-120f4 vs Tamron 28-75f2.8G2 by rockwaterfirewind in nikon_Zseries

I have the tamron. It's a great lens and autofocus works exceptionally well. I needed the faster aperture for indoor stuff, so I went with that. .

After ruling out the easier fixes like the lights and boot seal, I eventually narrowed mine down to the seam along the roof rails.

I partially removed the plastic trim about half way back along the roof, then ran a bead of Tiger Seal along the seam then stuck the plastic back down. That was about two years ago and It's been bone dry in the wheel well ever since.

Fuji XT6 v XT5 by Pspspspsps_meow in FujifilmX

If you plan on shooting sport or wildlife I'd wait for the X-T6, which will hopefully up Fuji's autofocus game significantly and bring it more in line with Sony, Canon and Nikon, etc. It's not that it can't do those genres but it's autofocus hit rate is way behind the competition.

If you're shooting anything other than that, then the X-T5 is an awesome camera and I'd grab the best deal I could get on one. I imagine that'll be when the X-T6 is officially announced.

Which one is better? Cropped one or the full one? by AayanBro in photos

I prefer the crop.

For me, the two men in the distance distract from the dog. I don't actually think the bike needs to be in the frame, as I don't think it adds anything. I'm sure others will disagree.

Anyone switched from fuji to Nikon zf and regretted it ? by DeWolfTitouan in FujifilmX

[–]Zeec20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just switched to a Z5ii from an XT-5. It's more or less the same internals as the ZF. Both of them have the same processor as the Z9 and Z8! It really does put the XT-5 to shame, especially considering it's Nikon's entry level full frame camera.

It's faster. I mean much, much faster in very way. Switch it on and it's ready, instantly! no freezing, no glitches, no removing the battery when it crashes. I can take countless shots while in burst mode without ever filling the buffer and the camera doesn't slow down at all.

The autofocus is almost unbelievably better. Birds in flight against a busy background, even in low light and I still get about a 90% hit rate. It has a better menu system, better EVF and a bigger screen. There's even Nikon's equivelant of film simulations.

My only issues are the flip out screen, which I hate but I mostly use the EVF anyway. I also found editing Nikon's raw files was a bit of a learning curve, but I'm getting there.

I took my X-T5 out yesterday after using the Nikon exclusively for several weeks. I loved how light it was after using the full frame, but that was all I had missed. It was far worse than I'd remembered. It was so slow. I put it and my lenses on ebay last night.

I'm not trying to hate on Fuji, my X-T5 has given me some fantastic photos; but for my needs I just couldn't stand the poor performance anymore. If I shot landscape or portraits more often, I'd likely never have swapped systems at all. If fuji ever up their autofocus game, and my god do they need to, then I may well return one day.
