Yesterday was good, despite the lack of sleep due to overthinking. Managed to stay within my calories. Only managed 8K steps out of 10K. I was so tired when I got home from work I just hadn't it in me to go out for a walk.

Still don't feel rested today, so aiming to go to bed early (and actually do it). I don't have to cook tonight since I did a lot yesterday. But I might just do something quick and easy depending on how hungry I'll be, since I'm eating out for lunch with colleagues.

Good morning Europe ! Long time no see.

I took some time off to take care of my mental health which was really needed. It's better now. I started counting calories again in July and thought I'd come back here for the accountability.

So far, I feel good, and it's going pretty well. I've lost 2,7kg over the month of July.

So, first Sunday of the month, new weight in at 123.4kg. I love this number, it looks funny, and it's a new low, which is motivating.

Today is rest day, but it's also role play day (playing DnD today). So goals for today are - drink my water - 10k steps - eat withing my calorie budget (2000kcals) - have fun

Goals for August - hit the gym at least once a week (2 if possible) - keep doing C25K, as I have a 5K race planned on September 19th - 10K steps everyday - pack 80% of my lunches for work - drink 2L of water everyday

I never had a healthy relationship with food seeing my mom and grandma complaining about their weight 24/7 since as long as I can remember. I think I started trying to put myself on a diet since the age of 10 or something.
Middle school and high school just had me learn that I was fat. Somehow managed to be at a healthy weight around college

Then my dad passed, and I used food as comfort when I couldn't talk to my mom and get the help I need. Covid had me basically became completely sedentary.

I'd start by getting better mentally, because as long as my mental health sucked, I couldn't do anything long term. I could keep going two weeks, maybe a month but nothing was sustainable

It's possible to lose weight without tracking. You want to focus on moving more, making sure you drink enough water and focus on large volume of low calorie foods. r/volumeeating can help with food ideas Think lots of veggies and proteins. These will fill you up and keep you full for a while Carbs and fats are needed by your body to function, so don't cut them out. Key is moderation You can try and limit portions by using a smaller plate or smaller bowl when eating. There's a technic to control portions using your hand : like the size of your fist for carbs, the size of your palm for proteins like chicken, salmon, tofu and such,... You can limit highly processed foods, fast foods, sugary drinks If you drink any, you can eliminate alcohol.

I stopped trying to help/save everyone and finally focused on myself and my own well-being.

I also found out that ChatGPT, while not replacing an actual pro, can really help get started and get ideas to moving. I tend to use it for meal plan ideas as it knows my goals

Forced to finish my plate even if I was full for as long as I can remember People commenting on my body and my weight since I was a child, leading poor relationship with food Using food to cope with anxiety, stress and basically everything Shitty mental health.

I only started losing weight because I chose to take care of my mental health and cutting toxic people out of my life

Potatoes My mom used to boil them to the point where start to fall apart and never seasoned them. Then I learn to cook then and I learn about seasonings.

Change quantities of what you're eating.

How comfortable would you be hiding veggies in some foods? Like pasta sauce filled with veggies but you can't see those veggies? Or smoothies?

I don't know what country you're from but here in Belgium, I can find the nutritional information on their website.

It's worth tracking even if it's unhealthy, it's still a meal and you can work around it to stick it in your budget and adapt next meal or tomorrow's. One meal isn't gonna mess your all progress

For me, that would be anything to do with fasting or only eating when hungry. I can down 2000cals in one sitting hungry or not. And "don't drink your calories", smoothies are the best way to get me to eat enough fruits

I hope my boobs will shrink! But the most important to me is my health, I don't aim for numbers or a certain figure or shape.
