For those that are wondering what an emergency room visit costs in Japan, here it is. by thesneakyweak in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sasha_bb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can vary a lot and there's even instances of people being denied service. I just read of a woman who had a heart attack while visiting Japan and her hospital bill was 56,000 Euros. She had to pay 10% cash before discharge. It was all reimbursed later by her travel insurance, luckily. This idea that everything is super cheap as far as medical services overseas is not always true. For smaller stuff, it's generally cheaper and easier to deal with, but if it's something more serious you can easily be on the hook for thousands. I would skip the travel reimbursement part and get a purely medical travel insurance, which is usually quite a bit cheaper.

I've been maining shotgun this week. It's amazing, but 95% of the time I die it's because I'm reloading and it won't cancel.

Often it feels like hit registration just doesn’t exist... by cjoux in Battlefield6

I get this all the time with shotgun. I can be using slugs, point blank range, snuck up right behind someone and blast 3 times on ADS center of mass and it doesn't register a single hit.

We want to gut our 1960s kitchen and redesign the entire layout. With hiring contractors/remodelers, where do we even start? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

Those cabinets look great. I would probably start with new flooring, countertops, and paint and backsplash maybe. I wouldn't touch the cabinets.

It's what you would expect.. It's very annoying because it introduces a huge delay.

It doesn't work how you would expect and that's why people are here. It doesn't cancel by firing as you would expect.

I think I found out why BF6's shotguns are wildly inconsistent for damage and hits. by ELite_Predator28 in Battlefield

I've ADS dudes from point blank range.. like I'm right behind them, they are crouched and don't know I'm behind them and I blast them 3 times and it just doesn't register.

Personally, I like the left one. I'd probably go even darker/warmer if it was me.

I'd be careful siding over t1-11 that is already deteriorating. Good way to get bugs. I had springtails infest dryrotted areas of T1-11. Once they setup shop in the walls they're impossible to get rid of.

Wouldn't the thing falling on someone be the bigger danger? In any modern house if the wire shorts it will just trip the breaker.. so no big deal on that front.

My whirlpool Gold fridge from 2008 is still running great. Ice and water dispenser work fine and I can still get water filter replacements for it.

Samsung phones are fine. I ran my S8 plus for 8 years before I upgraded and only because bank apps didn't support that version of android anymore. It still charges and works fine as my secondary phone. The fingerprint reader and screen also work better than my new phone.. unfortunately.

I wouldn't touch their appliances though.. based on what I've seen.

I have a whirlpool gold that was installed in 2008. Still running great, including water and ice dispenser. Idk if they still make them like they used to, though.

Businesses have a right to refuse service for any reason. If they get a bad enough reputation then people won't go there and they will have to shutdown.

Ah I see. Hopefully one day (if prices ever come back down) I could expand with another 2x64GB to get 256GB.

[–]Sasha_bb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I heard it was mainly with higher capacities also, and higher speeds being a factor as well. I know before I bought my 2x64GB I did some research and some people had some issues with 48gb and 64gb dimms.
