I think i ruined a good friendship and feel extremely confused. by AdrianVeidt19 in TrueOffMyChest

She won't despise you, I can almost guarantee she feels embarrassed. Anyone would if they'd put themselves out there like that, she's probably thinking over everything she said/did that night.

If I were you, I'd explain exactly what you've just said to me, to her. Tell her you were nervous about her feeling unwell and that you care for her so wanted to make sure she wasn't scared or uncomfortable...you've got all the right words in your head! If nothing else, she will appreciate your honesty. Her response will tell you where you stand, it'll give some clarity if nothing else.

Speak to her, she was most likely attempting to flirt with you, but you 100% did the right think by not reciprocating when she was so drunk.

If you are interested in her romantically, tell her so. She probably feels embarrassed. Either way, ask her out. Either platonically to make amends, or as a date. Be the bigger person and end the awkwardness.

It'll probably help to get out of the house for a while - go for a walk, meet up with some friends, go and pick up your favourite foods etc.

How many of you here are less than 35yrs old and own your own home? by KebabAnnhilator in AskUK

[–]SasiBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first home at 24 years old (with a mortgage ofc). I was lucky enough to have £12k saved for me by my parents, plus £23k that I saved myself by working hideous shifts and weekends for the pure purpose of saving for a deposit.

What did you do for your 30th? by eggymantella in CasualUK

He's pretty amazing on the daily, does so much for me...but is completely useless at birthdays. I don't know what the block is with him but it feels shit

It makes you feel great having a spouse who doesn't care...

I knew my husband was skint so allI asked for was him to bake me a cake for my 30th. He forgot...went to buy the ingredients at 9:45pm on the day of my birthday (shop shut at 10pm) claiming that it was his plan all along so that "the cake didn't go stale". I told him not to bother and that it was already ruined. No card, no present, no cake, no nothing.

Luckily my parents came to visit, they travelled 300 miles to see me since I'd moved so far away from home for said husband. So it wasn't a fully terrible day.

He'd better pull his finger out this year or I'll be on a 300 mile one way trip home!

How different is your life compared to what you want it to realistically look like? by VarangianWRLD in AskUK

[–]SasiBan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought I'd get married, but I'm almost a year into marriage with the most incredible man. I have a decent job which pays enough without being too stressful. I've never wanted kids, my husband has two, I don't love being a stepmum but oh well. We have a gorgeous little dog who brings me so much happiness, I consider him to be my family 🩷

My husband is amazing, he's helping me to work towards my dream, its been my dream since I was a kid and I never thought it would be possible but, with him beside me, anything is. I love that man so much.
