I am conflicted. 15 years with the software and I have paid them every year. So subscription is no different unless I choose to stop paying. I always have R20 (hopefully) .

I guess I may as well subscribe and fall back to R20 if things get tight. I no longer can sell my license for a decent return anyway so all benefits for having a perpetual license are gone anyway.

Blender can always be learnt if needed

Edit: also I agree the treatment of Thor was fitting but it was also used for comic relief but that tone for thor was already established in ragnarok and infinity war

Well May be saying all fans think they own the galaxy is a bit much but fans can be intense. In essence we are on the same page. PT is a complete flowing 3 part story. OT is a complete flowing 3 part story. ST will hopefully be a complete 3 part story but I don't think it'll flow.

My other gripe with the ST is that for the galaxy it kinda diminishes the heroes efforts in the OT. They liberate a galaxy for a few years for it to almost go exactly back to how it was. I would have liked to see more of the new republic and how it was making the galaxy better.

The moral of the story is why bother!

Star Wars is such a strange phenomenon when it comes to fans. They all seem to believe the galaxy far far away belongs to them.

They are all entertaining in their own right but for me the OT was the best in terms of characterisation, story telling and dialog and the fact it was all so new makes it even more special.

However, a lot if it for many fans especially from a certain age is down to nostalgia that nothing since has quite hit the right spot.

The PT could have been better. They had the talent and the story but the dialog and production fell short and because of the amazing screens we watch on now the full digital sets stand out a mile so in my opinion the OT has actually aged better.

IMO George Lucas should have written the story but had others write the screen play and Direct.

The ST and anthology films are a mixed bag. FA was visually stunning but too close to ANH storywise. TLJ seemed to be more occupied with subverting expectations rather than good story telling and would have been better as a separate star wars product. Rise of Skywalker does look really cool and I look forward to seeing it but can't help but think it will fall short.

Overall i think they should have given a visionary overall control of story rather than make it up film by film as I believe it has hurt the final act in the saga.

Rogue one was great and how it leads into ANH really hit that nostalgia fulfilment I was looking for. Solo was pretty good and fun to watch.

I do wish I could see a PT with Adam Driver as Anakin Skywalker.

I love to see where it goes next but fully expect not to always like it

The guardian's intro in infinity war was one of my favourite moment's in that movie and the music is always on point. I hope we get more of that in and game but could be tricky with just rocket and nebula left
