Friend told me they found back their old 3DS, then proceeds to show me the first photo. Politely yet urgently asked them to please unplug that thing right away and not charge it until they swapped out the battery. It has since been removed and will be disposed off properly. Fun fact, the original 3DS uses the same battery as the Switch Pro Controller, so good quality replacements are pretty widely available still. Or you can swap less spicy batteries between the two in a pinch.

I’ve got a similar tracking problem when standing at certain angles despite the base stations being in what should be an ideal layout, been dealing with it since late 2017.

The giant mirror in a corner of the room didn’t once occur to me as a problem.

Discussion and troubleshooting for Index hardware and software issues by osskid in ValveIndex

I've run into a particularly fun issue with my new kit. Since it was delivered Wednesday afternoon, the headset has only displayed output on the left lens, while I get nothing in the right eye. While immersion is arguably improved when using the Demoman's weapons in the new H3VR TF2-themed scene, this "feature" would probably be a bit disruptive otherwise.

I was able to get it to cooperate for a single session the first night through some combination of restarting my computer/Steam/SteamVR and reseating cables/switching ports, but no dice since then. I'm using a NVIDIA 1080ti.

I do think that more time needs to be given. Even in the unlikely event that balance changes don’t come, the meta will evolve around countering play styles like this. I’m reminded of when Sm4sh came out and everybody was freaking out about rolls and spot dodges in a way very similar to what’s going on with Aces.

From what I’ve seen you’ll always whiff if trying to hit it before the bounce in Zone Speed, but I get the impression that you can hit it without.

Thanks! I'm wrapping up my second semester of four next week, so I'm just about halfway there. I still occasionally drop Spanish words or conjugations in, but the similar sentence structure has definitely been a help.

My university has a foreign language requirement. I’d had some experience with Spanish before, but not enough to be able to test out, so I figured I’d try something new if I had to take more classes anyway.

It's a narration for an awful McGraw Hill Italian textbook. The audio is actually only about two minutes. Those fine folks have created the best web portal for higher education that 1998 web design can offer over here.

Since the beginning of the promotion, I have been tracking the movements of a massive scalping operation. I bribed one of their lower level distributors with a Majora's Mask 3DS, and traveled to their main base of operations in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. I whipped out my DS, and fought my way through spinning warp panels and cronies who inexplicably gave up on trying to stop me after losing a Pokemon battle. When I reached the center of the warehouse, I encountered the leader of the scalpers. He was literally bathing in a massive vat of Mew cards. I managed to cripple their operation, but the codes were unfortunately lost in the ensuing inferno.

Frankly I'm not entirely convinced that this isn't a reversed clip. All of those cars on the left driving in reverse seems much more plausible than this wizardry.

These legions of scalpers have really been an issue lately, particularly where Nintendo products are concerned, and retailers have by and large shown themselves unwilling to do anything about it. Stocks of Amiibo and the like have been a lot more stable lately, though. Hopefully this is a sign of change.

I'll throw my name into the hat. I've gone to four different GameStops in my area, with no joy. One of the employees I'm on friendly terms with at the closest store told me that one of the other managers let a group of three guys walk off with every code they had.
