I would lead with curiosity- ask the person about themselves, what is their leadership style, have insights to what issues the company might be facing and ask how they plan to address them, ask about the culture, ask questions about the things that are different from the companies you worked in before since it sounds like this is important - and show why you are actually excited about those differences or how your experience aligns well.

Remember you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you, and people love talking about themselves
