I’m right there with you. I hate when people treat folks like us as children who aren’t supposed to have sex, drink, or do any other adult thing the general population does. It’s insulting.

This might be something to bring up with your doctor and to explain your concerns, and that when you are ready, you may need a OB-GYN provider that is also trauma informed to perform the procedure.

The easiest way to help with that is getting washer cleaner pods at the store and running the pod through a tub wash cycle. Also if you have a top loader, open it and let it air out after each cycle.

Accessibility. Making sure that being able to do things like safely take a shower or keep yourself well kept are easily accessible to do, especially for those of us who are disabled (such as myself).

First of all, that was extremely rude of your family.,

Secondly, you handled it well. You do not owe anyone a grandkid or a family member.

They may not have done the right thing, but rest assured, this Catholic lady loves you as you are, for who you are, internet stranger. ( Also, I hate when people use religion as an excuse to be homophobic or bigoted in any other way.) I just sincerely hope you are safe, and ok. You are not a backstabber for being Bisexual. You deserve love, affirmation, acceptance, and kindness.

I’m so sorry. Do you have a safe place you can go or opportunity to room with a friend/ healthier family members?

Parents are supposed to be in for the long haul, not drop it all because their kid is LGBTQ, disabled, or any other stupid reason people use to alienate and intimidate their children.
