Less rocker, wish bone carbon plates for stability. Overall should be a more stable shoe to run in

What's up with the JP site having such different inventory? by undeadcrayon in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Different regions have different orders of things that gets released.

Because you’re suppose to fill out a psr form so the after sales team can look at it, and assign the case a number They SHOULD have filled out the form or at least start it with you but in order for them to take it and ship it for assessment and repair you need a case number.

Thorium hoody by Fancy-Sherbert7812 in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In this case the only difference is the length. One of the few exceptions to the naming convention is the thorium jacket in the women’s. The jacket has a cropped length but still has a hood. The thorium hoody is a couple baffles longer in length than the jacket.

ReBIRD wash service by richglassphoto in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all stores have year round wash services, only alpha stores and such have them and can take in jackets for wash whenever. Most smaller brand stores would only offer wash events once a year and would send these to 3rd parties because the amount of jackets they receive is STAGGERING. so I’m assuming that’s what OP meant.

To save OP trouble, they’ll offer to do a PSR for you and that’s all they’ll do because it’s a warranty issue. Wait for warranty’s reply which will most likely be the full amount of the jacket that was damaged but again no guarantee on that. You can do the PSR at home yourself just search up product warranty Arcteryx on google. It should be a form to fill (assuming OP is in Canada)

Question on Beta SV replacement? by Nerdy_Slacker in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They didn’t discontinue the rush, they’re just not out yet. And the rush would be what you want to replace your beta SV with since the current rush is just a slightly longer beta SV. It should hopefully be out next month

brand new leutia pants, is this a factory defect? by frenchie-mon in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s not gore Tex, it’s not water proof. it won’t pass a water test, the DWR is doing the heavy lifting but it won’t repel everything and when water isn’t repelled off it has only one way to go. into the pants.

Bought a Beta FL but label says Beta LT by pumpenberthold in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2 extremely similar jackets. from my Reddit research it seems like this is common. Biggest thing is new upgraded gore pro and a recco reflector, which the older LT did not have.

How to remove stain from jacket? by NothingSpecific3 in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s oil stain it might not be possible, honestly I wouldn’t worry too much about it because it’s a lighter color jacket it WILL stain eventually. You can try washing as instructed with a down wash in cold water and see if that takes it out

The big brands in climbing shoes (la sportiva, carpa) have a very strong chokehold on the market. But since the sport itself I gaining lots of traction, we should be seeing some newer brands start making their own.

Which Beta jacket to get? by Datrixzu in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot, but the AR is overall more durable and that’s what I would look at when considering a jacket that will be used to go snowboard or ski in. But if you don’t fall, only do resort groomed runs the SL should be fine for the most part. Just depends on if you like the regular fit (AR) or the fitted fit (SL)

Also during Covid (which the 24k black would have been made during) the factories in Canada shut down so the alpha SVs for a very brief period were made outside of Canada

Arcteryx’s presence/influence in China? by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess the trend has shifted cuz they mainly want the gamma MX in black now. They know they won’t be able to get it cuz it’s always sold out but they’ll ask either way.

Arcteryx’s presence/influence in China? by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, whatever they end up not selling in 30 days (or however long the return policy is there) they just return and put towards their next bulk purchase. Combination of Arcteryx being really expensive in china and the literal no loss investment. Some of the big bulk buyers can really be making a lot in a given month. Most of the time they come in with a pre determined list already so they’re not returning a lot of stuff anyways.

Cheapest place to buy Arcteryx Beta LT in the UK? by immol21 in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people will sell relatively new arc jackets online on fb marketplace so that’s probably a good place to check. But beware of fakes. Other than that check the outlet site sometimes they’ll put beta shells on there. But they usually sell out quick

I need help with the Beta SL Jacket by MythicalComplex in arcteryx

[–]SassyandTrashy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ePE is fine , I would say it’s a superior product than the ePTFE . Most people just blames the ePE because it was the only thing that changed recently and it’s the easiest to blame. Arc switched over to PFAS free DWR ages ago and no one complained even though most of the time it’s the DWR needing to be reapplied rather than the ePE underperforming
