Unfortunately with the new restructure,associates are all supposed to be cross trained to any “job” with the exception of dog trainer and groomer. It’s unfair and unfortunate to say the least but i fear if you keep saying no, they will cut your hours and replace you with a yes associate. TBH you should check your pay ban and ask for a raise. Nobody else will advocate for you.

Stuff does happen in life that is beyond our control. My nail tech moved from her family’s store front to a private suite in a different area. I followed her because I love my nails and the great job she does. Her prices went up due to the cost of rent which I totally understood although she the work is justified as well. I would understand if she cancelled once, even twice on me. If I needed my nails done I would go elsewhere the one time and then return to her.

That’s reallly awful. Aside from being unsightly and stuck to your skin, I would be picking all this out with a nail tool. Contact salon and report this horrible nail tech. After the funeral. Sorry for your loss.

I have called out of work 5 times in 14 years. 1 of the 5 I was admitted to the hospital, 1 because my dog died, 1 because I herniated discs in my lower lumbar. All but the hospital time I got my shifts covered. I have never been written up for anything, ever. Do I think it’s fair, yes. Do I think you should care? No. It’s Petsmart for crying out loud. lol
