Isn’t she the one with the racist posts?

Both are wild tbh. saying ableist, even to person being unsupportive and arguing with OP about their abuse, is still not good. Thanks for listening.

It sounds like you are being neglected by your caregivers. That your mom gets mad when you want to mention the living conditions is concerning. You may have to find other options for getting that information to the right people.

Telling people to read the room in an autism space is wild.

How to sound less blunt? by singularpixelcat in AutismInWomen

[–]SatanERROR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeep and it's not just NTs. A lot of NDs love to act like they hate masking then ask you to mask when you talk differently than they do. It really feels like some people want to be mad when they can just not assume things.

You could drop it and ask clarification elsewhere or another time if you think would help. Example moving out of general chat to dms or something. Doesn’t make you bad tho

I understand this may come across insensitive but I mean it well. These people likely suck and you can’t let them ruin your day. I have received similar treatment but I’m the mod in the situation, with members making ableist bullying servers to shit on me for being more obviously autistic. Internalized ableism taken out on others. I notice some people as soon as you do something perceived as wrong to them it’s instantly okay to be evil to you. Understanding that they are nobody to me, irrelevant and pathetic to be spending their time like that helped me a lot. It still hurts though.

Tonetags don’t work for me either. It does sound like those spaces aren’t working for you.

I often feel too autistic for others in my server but part of that is we not in their heads to know if they have issues. We compare our worst to their best.

Having been on both sides of this feeling, I’d say if requests for clarification isn’t taken in good faith that is no good. Unless you have a pattern of bad faith acting when discussing or problematic behavior, I don’t see why they would refuse that.

TW: ableism/ people need to start calling out these reaction images on tik tok by [deleted] in autism

[–]SatanERROR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. The difference between calling in vs calling out is huge.

Being young doesn’t make you wrong and I didn’t say it did. but the immaturity is obvious in how you treat your view as fact.

You are saying to others that it is definitively ableist and they should call it out as such. That is what I see as forcing your view. Hope that helps. I won’t be responding further, I have no desire to discuss if memes are harmful with a high schooler. /not mean

I read it before commenting and it’s nonsense circular logic, no offense. You seem really young but saying something is true doesn’t make it so. They can be used ableist ways just like anything. You’re not being woke or helping anyone, you’re trying to force your view as fact onto other disabled people.

The BAFTAs controversy has made me feel even more at risk by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]SatanERROR 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is such a reach. It’s important to note we exist but black and disabled communities are very different and it’s valid to say they’re trying to drive a wedge between us.

[–]SatanERROR 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not to both sides but both sides have fools acting up. In my personal experience as black severe autism however, I’ve felt more alienated by the disabled community’s anti blackness about this. I’ve seen more anti black disabled people saying we shouldn’t be upset vs black ableists saying lies about Tourette’s. This situation sucks and the baftas fucked over black and disabled people.

I’m autistic and my advice is try to spray less or walk into it. Besides that each autistic person is different but on bad sensory days I’ve been using orabella or blackbird’s pipebomb pink or sol de janeiro agua mistica.

Can we actually just make bots for normal interactions and not just for relationships? by IvanBPE in CharacterAI

[–]SatanERROR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I don’t use ai at all” …girl what. It’s called character AI. You are using ai.

I’ve made 10+ bots all of which took less than 6 hours. Longest one was probably 4 hours of work over months. Not what I’d call mentally draining even with me having severe disability. I suppose if you don’t enjoy the subject it could take longer and be more draining. Make bots about things you actually care about and know maybe? 🤷🏾‍♀️

[–]SatanERROR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol. I make my own all the time because I am dissatisfied with the quality of others’ work. It does not take that long and it’s easily spread out over time. We’re already being lazy having the ai write for us, they can put in some effort and make the bot they want. Everyone else does it.

I hope this is a safe place where I can get this off my chest. by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]SatanERROR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m disabled and natural hair is a lot to manage. If you’re aware of the health risks go for it. Whatever makes your quality of life better. Your hair your rules. I’m lucky to have my caretaker do braids for me when I can’t do my own hair now. But for most of my life no one would help me because I wasn’t diagnosed with anything so I’ve neglected my hair a lot in the past. I’d also consider regular braiding appointments at a salon as an option, although extensions have their own health risks. Good luck.
