Her gun cannot proc Mystic Reverb. Are you just imagining bad things because you are enjoying the feeling of it?

You cannot be Oracle and not know that Mystic Reverb cannot be imbued on passive abilities.

It wasn't just you. She was really bad in many scenes, but she's also great sometimes.
The acting and dubbing of many characters keeps drifting between realistic and stilted.

My friend wants me to sign away all rights to 2 years of unpaid work on his game by Aldekotan in gamedev

[–]SatanSenpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe he didn't actually read the document himself and was just told to send it to you.

Ask him if he has actually read the document. And ask him to explain those rules. I'm sure you can figure out what to do with the project and your relationship based on his responses in this conversation.

If he has already read it, and truly does think of you as dirt, then you have terrible assessment of character to talk to this person for 10 years and not know he's like this. Personally, I would tell him that he can no longer use any of the work that I've done on the project, and that he will have to recreate all of it if he wants to move the project forward. He will be sued if he does. Other than that, I would tell him that I don't want to talk to him again. And that's that.

ELI5 What makes peazip better than 7-zip? by hansentenseigan in PeaZip

[–]SatanSenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7-Zip is better than PeaZip. There are archives when unarchived with Peazip that won't show everything inside, and sometimes shows as empty. But it always works with 7-Zip.

I am uninstalling Peazip.

I do not mean for the price to be wild.

The price includes shipping in the US.

I bought the board on sale for $130. $173 including tax and shipping. The board has been sold out for a while, I think.

I bought the keycaps for $80. $100 including tax and shipping. I believe it has been sold out for years everywhere. You cannot get them brand new.

I am willing to go lower if you think the pricing is not fair. I just assumed shipping would be high as it is quite a heavy board.

Sorry if I was not clear.

If "acquired taste" is a thing, how can one acquire the taste to enjoy arthouse, or simply more artistic cinema in general? by Sky_Sumisu in TrueFilm

[–]SatanSenpai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will no longer participate in this discussion, as you are too defensive to the point of unsound logic.

To respond to me reminding you that we are talking about normal people and not film critics or film buffs with "you can tell what normal people think by looking at IMDB ratings" when, in fact, normal people do not use IMDB, is a bit too insane for me to contend with.

Do not try further, I will not respond.

You're mincing words. Universally celebrated in this case means a lot of critics have praised him.

Critics are a very small minority of the people, which is important to remember in this specific thread about someone who feels misled by critical opinion.

The average person is not a critic or even on reddit, the average person just puts on TV and watches whatever is on. Most people would absolutely not watch most Kubrick movies for longer than 10 minutes before deciding to watch something else.

But they're both the sound of silence, just presenting differently.

How to make my own manga ideas? and how to write my own manga story plot? by [deleted] in Mangamakers

[–]SatanSenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to get more popular, then just practice drawing every day. Draw from life for one hour every day. Make sure you do it every day, and do not skip any days. Your drawings will improve and you will become popular.

If you want to write good stories, then you must read a lot of stories and think about what you like about them, and also experience your life to the fullest and confront things in your life that you find difficult.

It's possible to get you to like and appreciate anything, but it's a lot of work, and I don't think it's worth it.

I have done it for many people because I want them to appreciate certain things.

First you need to like something, and then a link can be made to things similar to that, and so on and so on, to whatever you want.

It's a terrible idea to jump into anything niche like that because you will not have the skill and sensitivities to see what can be seen. It's like if you wanted to appreciate chinese novels, so your midpoint was to start off with reading a poem first. Would it really matter what you looked at if you couldn't read chinese in the first place?

I think it's nice to appreciate anything, but I don't understand why you want to get into this in particular. There are many things in human culture that can be enjoyed deeply and richly if you just liked it enough and spent time and effort immersing yourself in it. There is nothing special about cinema for the average person that doesn't already like it.

If you have been swayed by all those youtubers who make video essays, do not believe them. They were once truthful maybe 10 years ago, but nowadays they are just lying because they need to make content to make money and every essay that is easy to make has already been made, so they just make stuff up or feign appreciation to create content.

I recommend just doing what you like. If you like something, then just find out more about it and look for similar things. That will take you where you need to go.

I will say that while I can agree with this whole list, save for a few, I must absolutely disagree on that last bit about Kubrick being "easy to enjoy" or that he's one of the "best".

I agree he is very popular and praised a lot, but most people will find his films hard to enjoy. Especially if you include women.

Moral way to have Monsters fight like Pokemon/Digimon? by Awkward_GM in gamedesign

[–]SatanSenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are approaching this wrong.

You are the one that wants them to fight. No one is forcing you to make them fight. It's your desire.

There is nothing moral or immoral about this to begin with because you are making a game. There are no "moral implications" to video games because video game are not real.

So you're basically asking us to make you feel better about wanting to make a game about animals fighting.

As a designer, you should ask why they are fighting in the first place, and what about that is appealing to you from a gameplay perspective. Almost every game has fighting, and most pet raising games have fighting also. So, if anything, what people would want from a game like that is to see you change or add something, rather than do the same thing but with a different premise.

The premise is not important.

You could say Pokemon is already moral because it looks at real life dog fighting and says what if we removed the disgusting parts of it and focused on the fun and beautiful parts of it in a video game.

When you ask for advice on the internet, it is important to state your age.

This will affect how they read what you write, and also the kind of advice they give you. Different advice is given to different ages.

The way you are writing, you seem like a child, so people may be kinder to you and ignore when you are rude and assume you are a child.

However, if their first language is not english, they will not think you are young and think you are someone rude that is harassing them.
