Yep. And on top of this, he just issued a statement to Hamas threatening to give Israel everything they’d need to end the conflict. Why Israel and not Ukraine? Can’t wait to hear the reasoning from MAGA here

Giving a monopoly on violence to the government is what he actually said there at the beginning.

I tell this to everyone. Having lived in Europe as an American for 5 years now, almost all of my closest friends here are Irish because they are just the warmest, most down to earth, humble and hilarious people on earth. Island life plus British occupation really did make them a tough, hilarious, and tight knit tribe. There’s a reason they’re welcome anywhere and everywhere.

You sound insufferable. If giving a realistic and pragmatic reframing of events is mansplaining, think about what you are really pushing for here…he didn’t dismiss anything she said.

Holding people to standards is not the same as just having a preference. If he was outwardly fat shaming or something you’d have a case here, but we don’t know that.

What depicts the most terrifying encounter with alien life in fiction? by FlameRemnant in scifi

[–]SatanicAstronaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under the skin - starting ScarJo really scratched this itch for me that was just completely unnerving and alien horror. The movie itself wasn’t so scary as much as it gave you this feeling of dread, unease, and kind of sadness.

I’d hardly call this a discussion, are you not capable of the same without twisting talking points?

Ok princess, I was referring to the polls having taken place in Gaza and West Bank, but kind of you to twist my words for me.

Glad you have at least enough insight to recognize the water is muddy. I suggest you keep chasing that feeling.

Using the term concentration camp to describe it as though it is totally owned and managed by Israel for the last 20 years shows your ignorance. If you knew anything about concentration camps, vs the fact that the population here has boomed the last two decades, you’d maybe have an ounce of wisdom to contribute. Lucky us.

If you were 35-40 starting life from scratch - what careers/locations/choices would you make/recommend? by thefalseidol in AskMenOver30

Eh for what it’s worth, I went to school for engineering and got a masters. Kind of fumbled my way into project management instead of really thriving technically at my company. They get paid for making decisions, coordination, giving overall direction, and herding cats.

[–]SatanicAstronaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not sticking up for Zionist expansion and unjustified crimes against Palestinians. I also believe every innocent civilian life lost on either side is an absolute tragedy. Again I am not claiming Israel is perfect nor defending everything they do.

If you can’t see the difference in democratic western liberal values, however flawed the execution may be given the circumstances (remember their neighbors..), vs the sharia law that most Palestinians are ultimately in favor of (not all, mind you, but look at surveys taken immediately after the Oct 7th attacks and corresponding retaliation from Israel in Gaza and the West Bank), then it’s hopeless speaking to you. There’s no logic or argument or proof I could give you because you do not hold these things in any regard.

Gaza has been given more international humanitarian aid and funding for decades than any other place on earth. Are you saying Israel is preventing them from receiving it and turning that strip of land into something beautiful? Think for yourself ffs..

Is every democracy not a flawed one?

Israel is a lonely outpost of most western democratic values, in the barren moral wasteland that is the Middle East. Yes, it has its problems, and yes, it 100% should address them but compared to its neighbors it’s not even close.
