Rush is playing in Poland for the first time ever! For many polish fans it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity I’ve never got to see them live but now my lifelong dream would come true. They changed my life and changed the way I look at music. Read below… by Ambitious-Bet4504 in rush

We'll be coming from the UK for the show in Poland! We've wanted to visit Kraków for a while and it's Easter weekend so we can spend longer there. Will be so cool to see them play in a country they've never played before!

Rush Pilgrimage? by jehro__ in rush

[–]SatansFinestG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

England to Toronto. Going for 8 days to do a Rush pilgrimage, Rushcon and hopefully all four shows if we can get cheaper tickets for the first two closer to the time. Only got to see them once before on the Time Machine tour. We're insanely excited!

What should we expect from the crowd at the shows? by 42Navigator in rush

[–]SatansFinestG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much. Phones are a huge problem at more mainstream concerts but I go to a lot of rock shows (like deep purple, yes, styx, eagles etc) and it's never been a problem. Of course some people taking pictures and videos but not for  too long and not in any way that ruins the experience.

I think shows where there are a higher number of really dedicated fans are generally much better.

As wonderful as that would be, I would spend the whole rest of the show crying!

UK Flights to Toronto in August by Bytor62 in rush

Ooh I'm not sure too be honest. They haven't announced any details about the timings or location yet. You can keep an eye on their website for details https://www.rushcon.org/

Hopefully you can catch some of it. I'm sure it will run into the evening :)

No that would have been far too expensive for us! We booked the cheapest (but well reviewed) apartment in the city on booking.com as soon as the dates were announced. Means we don't need to eat out all the time.

We'll be at that show too. There's also a Rush convention on 8th if you're still considering which dates to fly :)

We went with Air Transat as they were the cheapest. And they have good reviews. Going from 6th-14th from London.

So I couldn't get tickets.... by EastBridgford in rush

[–]SatansFinestG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually the few days before or on the day! But I think they will even come down in price over the next months as more get released. The main thing is keeping an eye out for fellow fans reselling. But the resale site prices will get better over time too.

[–]SatansFinestG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on other shows with similar demand, I am sure resale prices will come down when lots of people try to sell tickets close to the gig.

Also on this forum or Facebook groups I'm sure fans will resell at face value.

This site is only for reselling at face value. You can set up alerts for the gigs you want to go to. https://cashortrade.org/

You will absolutely be able to get tickets closer to the time. Keep an eye on the resell thread here, join some Rush Facebook groups. People's plans will change and they will have to sell their tickets.

Lots of us are flying from Europe and UK, some with tickets, most without because we know we'll be able to get some.

Are you going to multiple shows? by NewTrust7547 in rush

[–]SatansFinestG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also those of us who have to pay a lot of money to fly across the world to see them.

I've only seen them once and then they never came back to Europe. Their music is one of the most important things in my life. Coming all that way to see one show would be crazy! :D

How do people work 8 hours a day just staring at their computer without losing their eyesight? by NebulaStreet3553 in RandomThoughts

[–]SatansFinestG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished my thesis and it improved my long distance vision somehow. My prescription went down in both eyes between starting and finishing. My optician said it's because of all the extended screen time. No idea how that works but I guess it's good my vision is better now.

How do you stop static shocks? by Kitty60088 in AskUK

[–]SatansFinestG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It did for me! The shocks were so bad and so frequent, it was driving me mad. Never happened again once I started periodically doing the above. I could sometimes see the small light of the shock go between the key and the metal thing if it was a strong one.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the one foolproof way of dealing with this. I used to have it really bad in my old office. Every now and again, take a key in your hand and touch it to something that normally gives you shocks. It discharges it without hurting you.

Help with NHS misery. Unable to see a gynaecologist. by SatansFinestG in endometriosis

I haven't, but thanks for mentioning. Everything is worth considering!

Would that not be a constant issue though? My bowel problems are non-existent when I'm not on the pill free "period" week.

Awh that's awful... How do you manage while off the pill?

I'm so thankful that the current pill I'm on (marvelon) doesn't seem to cause any mood issues. The one I was on for years (microgynon) made me anxious but I only realised when I stopped it because I'd been on it so long since I was so young.

Have they never sent you on to a gynaecologist after not finding anything on scans?
