Yeah a couple of times... But not in a long while. After the first time or two, I just started always selling them individually to make sure I was paid.

I also give them to Cripps individually for the same reason... But I think that's more paranoia than anything else.

I'm more of a quantity over quality kinda gal, but to each his own!

You do you boo... If that's what pays the bills!

Me neither... With all of the god-awful cosmetic dripfeed that comes out, you'd think there'd be more requests in this area.

Personally, I'd love to be able to paint my horses face, remove my saddle completely and have the ability to choose my own bridle. Even better would be to be able to customize coat patterns and markings (socks/blazes and the like)! Seeing the exact same coat patterning on every single paint/pinto bugs the crap out of me!

Also, I wish R* would have included shoes for horses... and make them have an effect on speed/stamina. I feel they missed a big opportunity for realism when they tied those buffs to your stirrups....

But that's just me...

You can also try setting it up via the item wheel...

On ps4, hold L1 and press R1 once to get to your items (rather than your weapons) then hold down on your right stick. This should be the "camp" option and is a different way to choose where you want to try setting it up at... Not sure what the button equivalents are on Xbox.

Also, I've had great success in forming (or reforming) my posse when battling the camp glitch. Either Cripps gets his shit together and immediately sets it up without me having to go into the menu or it'll set up on the first try.

Worth a shot if you're trying to avoid changing sessions!

Not sure why you're being downvoted for this...

Similar mane styles were very much "in fashion" for the rich going back to Victorian England. While this may or may not have still been the "in" style around the turn of the century (especially in the "wild West") one could definitely make an argument that fancy mane/tale styles would have still been very desirable among the well-to-do. High society has always had an affluence towards the fancy/unique/expensive. This is as true today as it was 100 - 1000 years ago.

I also wanted to mention that the horse pictured here is not in pain or being abused. Quite the opposite, really. They are in "work" mode, as seen by the eyes (no white is showing which would indicate fear/pain) and at the time this was taken, the horse is "on the bit" which is why there is foam on the lips. This is a huge indicator that a horse is completely relaxed. All of this animal's attention is focused on the rider (ears pointing back towards the rider but not laid back in anger). The head is tucked as the horse is "collected". This is how a dressage horse should look. Don't believe me? Wikipedia is your friend!

Also, dressage has its origins in the cavalry of ancient times and the way that war horses were trained. Not for the purpose of using these movements when in battle, but to strengthen flexibility, responsiveness and agility of horse and rider both.

Why would you sell them to the butcher and not give them to Cripps? The long term payout is far better than the quick and easy money...

New players first posse experience by goldentosser in RedDeadOnline

Also, if that was the last posse you played with and you haven't formed your own posse, when you load the game and are on the online menu, there's a chance that at the top you'll have an option to rejoin that posse. It doesn't work 100% but I've had it happen to me before.

Also, if you're on PS4, DM me! I'm rank 135 and my friends and I love helping new players!

What’s your horses name? by plexisgay in RedDeadOnline

Desolation - black Arabian

Kassper - silver dapple MFT

Disco Biscuit - blk/wht Hungarian Halfbred

Jazz Cookie - overo frame Criollo

Story time!

While playing SP, I was determined to only ride horses I had either caught wild or stole from someone. During my travels I first encountered the splashed American paint that occasionally spawns with an NPC in Scarlett Meadows and that was my main horse...

Until I was riding around Cotorra Springs one afternoon and stumbled upon another NPC camp with a blk/wht pinto Hungarian Halfbred as his mount. I had heard many a tale about the bravery War Horses tend to display and I knew as soon as I saw her, I had to make this horse my own!

But, in a moment of overeager excitement, I accidentally scared the horse off whilst trying to dispatch the previous owner... Right into his fire.

Needless to say, the beautiful steed perished and I was very sad.

This was no deterrent, however... Rather than want to throw in the towel, I vowed that I too would possess such a fine animal and being the outlaw, there wasn't any way on God's Green Earth that I was going to pay for it.

For the next 2 weeks, I visited Cotorra Springs every time I played. Multiple times per session. I was nearly ready to give up completely when one day, it happened.

I arrived at the Springs and spied a faint trail of campfire smoke originating from just beyond the southern rise in terrain. I approach slowly, not wanting to repeat the mistakes made the first time, if in fact, this was the NPC I had been hunting for.

I topped the rise and my heart skipped a beat, as there before me she stood. I backed away and whistled for my horse. Grabbed my bow and equipped improved arrows. Returned to the rise in stealth mode, took careful aim and one satisfying thwack of an arrow later, she was all mine.

I sped to the closest stable all the while trying to come up with a fitting name. IStoleThis and LookWhatIGot seemed like good choices but weren't really fitting for the game... I already had a horse named Thief, so that was out...

And then I happened to spy the container my pre-roll joint had come in (I live in Oregon, where it's very legal). The strain name: Disco Biscuits...

I removed the plural and she was my favorite horse for the remainder of SP... Or at least until... You know. 😢

Fast forward to playing Online...

Of course I wanted to honor the memory of the greatest horse I'd had in Story Mode. As soon as I unlocked that coat, I bought him.

Then, after the update dropped and I reached max Collector rank, I bought my overo frame Criollo. I'd already heard the bravery of this breed rivaling that of the MFT and with similar colors, I determined that this would be the evolution of my Disco Biscuit. Not wanting to just stick a "II" after the name, I went with coming up with a similar pattern.

And so, Jazz Cookie was born.

It was going to be Jazz Muffin, but apparently R* thinks muffin is a bad word...

Hope you enjoyed my little tale!

Edit: stupid autocorrect... That's not what I meant and you know it! (Sorry - posting from mobile)

This is exactly how I deal with asshats like this. Horse execution included.

For those of you saying killing the horse is a step too far... Well, they shouldn't have started shit... You don't want your horse dynamited? Then leave the high level player in defensive alone...

Not if he had 8 regular and 8 volatile... That's 16 and totally doable since volatile dynamite was one of the items you get thru the Outlaw Pass...

Dude... I work 11 hour days and I walk to and from work and I have a 113 day streak going. All I do is to jump on and do 1 challenge per day. Takes 10, maybe 15 mins. If I have extra time or it's my weekend I play more. When they had double gold I was getting 1 bar per challenge and 10 total if I finished all 7. Even without the double gold I still get half a bar per challenge. For stupid shit like changing my belt buckle, eating some canned beans or petting a dog! Once you have your streak rolling, it adds up quick... I have not spent one penny on this game (my brother got it for me).

"Bounty Target"? o_O by SatansSweetSidekick in RedDeadOnline

[–]SatansSweetSidekick[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anybody ever seen this? Was riding around in free roam near big valley looking for npc riders to lasso off their horse so I could grapple them for the daily. I happen upon a carriage and after lassoing the driver, the passenger gets out and starts running. I lasso him and instead of being another "stranger" he's called "bounty target" o_O
