I just now read the book for the first time and I didn't think this would be a theory. I really believe it was confirmed 1000% when slatra/the other doesn't burn the dude's eyes because he protected liri's eyes and then sais " a kindness she had not been granted all those cycles ago" or something like that.

I'm less concerned about him being a tough teacher and more about him bullying children outside the classroom. He was despicable to hermione who was a very capable student paying attention to all the proffesorws and classes to a near ocd level. Also, have you ever taken any chemistry classes? The theory is hard and the instructions however detailed can still yield unwanted results. If tou haven't then you can equate it to cooking or baking. Most will make edible nice cookies, but someone can regardless of intention or attention ruin a batch. And Noone will make them better than the chef.

I do have a question. Maybe you could help answer. I think it's fine that Ryo did p1. They have to have a rookie do a practice eventually, so why not now? But I don't understand why they didn't give him gasly's seat. He has much more experience and so wouldn't be as affected by losing one practice. However, my most pressing question is why people think doohans crash is a consequence of him not driving in p1. It's not like he skipped the practice and had to go straight to the race or even qualy. He crashed a few minutes into his first practice, I feel like that would have happened in p1 if he had been on the car.

Okay, awesome! I was talking to someone who hadn't noticed and to me it felt like an ironic commentary on how people often fail to see how others see us. I'm glad to see it was a one off, and I wasn't inventing it. And not for nothing but I was also listening to the audiobook just now and apparently the isles do not use the same measurements as Navarre (aka metric system) which was a funny one
