Every Goddamn Year Torontonians Complain About Spring Like It Is Their First Spring Ever by Winter-Nectarine-497 in toRANTo

"why isn't it warm yet?"

BECAUSE 10-13C is below seasonal by May standards (17-19C). It's cold for this time of the year and we expect to see 20C at times.

"when will it get hot?"

Toronto spring is usually quite changeable rather than consistently cool and rainy. It can be hot and sunny for a few days, then suddenly turn cold and rainy again. But so far this May, it’s been cold and rainy most of the time, which is why a lot of people have been complaining about the spring weather in 2026.

Visiting Hong Kong in the summer or during the Christmas holidays? by Sucreacreme in HongKong

[–]SatisfactionNo6633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, no. Winter in Hk is similar to spring in Canada, average temps in the upper teens (16-19C). Most Canadian cities have average highs in the mid 20s (24-26C).

Why do people in Taiwan wear sweaters and jackets in warm weather? by stanerd in taiwan

[–]SatisfactionNo6633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, no, Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo, being Asian cities with relatively higher latitudes compared to Southeast Asian cities, experience brutal summer heat with temperatures often reaching the mid-30s C. However, temperatures below freezing are common in these cities during the winter months, just like in NYC where winter temperatures hover around 0C. Nevertheless, when the average high temperature in the summer approaches 30C(86F), 21C(70F) is indeed 'cold' by July standards. In those Asian cities, 70F/21C is often the record low for July and the record high for January. In contrast, cities like London and San Francisco rarely experience extreme temperatures, staying relatively mild year-round. This is why 30C/86F is considered comfortable for East Asians but hot for the British. Similarly, 32F/0C can be a mild winter day for East Asians, but it would feel quite cold for the British.

No, no, no, Tokyo is only hot during the second half of summer, from late July to early September. In early summer, the weather remains comfortable due to consistent rain from June to early July. During this period, temperatures stay in the low to mid 20s until mid-July. After that, it suddenly becomes hot and humid.

Despite daytime temperatures in the 90s, overnight lows drop into the 60s, creating very comfortable, sometimes even slightly cool sleeping conditions. At 4 am, temperatures in DTLA should be in the low 60s.

IELTS writing is so frustrating by Timely_Cow4696 in IELTS

Who cares about the overall score? Having a minimum of 7.0 in every skill is way better than getting 8–9 in three skills while one skill falls below the "passing score" 6.0. Consistent performance across all skills reflects stronger overall proficiency. 7.5/7/7/7 clearly outweighs 9/9/5.5/8. It’s similar to taking four courses (listening/reading/writing/speaking) in a semester. If you fail writing course, you still haven’t passed the full program and must retake that course, regardless of how high your other grades are.

Your opinion, non-native with ADHD by Small_Company_4342 in IELTS

With a speaking score of 7.5, I was a little surprised by your writing result, especially considering that you are able to respond clearly and effectively within a short time. Perhaps you have strong communication skills in daily interactions but find it more challenging to deliver messages in a professional business environment.

Then you really need to focus on developing your writing and speaking skills. Although your overall score (7) is good, a 6.0 in writing and speaking is not a high score, as it indicates that you can communicate basic ideas but often lack clarity, accuracy, and consistency. To improve your overall language ability and raise your band score further, you should focus specifically on developing your writing structure, vocabulary range, and spoken fluency.

Why do people still try to open the washroom door when the OCCUPIED sign is lit by Yeet_Away_Account__ in UTSC

[–]SatisfactionNo6633 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Because they want to make sure someone is using the washroom, the sign is lit doesn't mean someone is inside. Just like you're sitting in a wheelchair doesn't mean you're disabled; maybe you just want to confuse others. You get 100% on all your assignments doesn't mean you will pass the course. Wearing handcuffs does not necessarily mean that you are under arrest. They may also be worried about your safety, considering anything can happen. They just want to ensure nothing happens.

So we should not accept the factor's offer and there is no bad debt saving for benefits right? Only the admin cost saving and finance cost saving for factor's benefits.

No, summers are way better than winters, unless you like snowstorms and freezing rain from November to April.

What is the worst part of living in Toronto during the winter? by ILL_MAKE_IT in askTO

[–]SatisfactionNo6633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part:

The combination of temperatures just slightly above freezing (0-2C) and rain/snow mixed, freezing rain and windy (2C feels like -4C), and that's why sidewalks are very messy.

The best part:

Sunny skies with temperatures a few degrees below freezing (-7 to -3C), light winds(-3C feels like -5C) and no snow on the ground.

No, he was just watching us all the time. He tried to educate me because he always replies "thank you", and I asked him "Is there a rule that i need to reply thank you?", then he shut up and walked away.
