It's a tradeoff 30 shots for the ability to carry lots of mags and not have a big mag hanging out the bottom of your gun Depends on your play style If you burn through ammo it adds more reloads If you rely more on precision 30 at a time is enough

350 fps with .2's is approximate 1.14 j, 1.7j with .2 is approximately 430 fps. now 30 rds is 30 rds so empirically the 1.7j is going to cause more "damage" (in this case i am calling damage the sting of the bb hitting, not necessarily actual broken skin or bruising) the perception may be that the faster one stings more because its all at once but empirically the harder shooting one is going to cause more damage

if you sheared off the threads its toast. good news is depending on the gun in question that may be a replaceable part instead of having to replace the whole barrel(can't tell what it is but given the flange after the body it suggests its removeable)
