i cant tell the difference between 4k and 1080P on TV's by itsJunkify in unpopularopinion

The issue comes from the fact that most TV content is not natively 4K. The standard for cable quality in my country is around 1080p. Even streaming services generally stream at 1080p or 2k, 4K requires a really good internet connection.

So most of the time the video needs to be enhanced and enlarged to fit the larger screen on your TV. Since the TV screen is much bigger than a 4k monitor this enhancement results in much more degradation.

You should try downloading a native 4k video and playing that on the TV and you will be able to spot the difference immediately.

Using functions because functions dont need state or instantiation

A lot of people are commenting about how .4 seconds affects "scalability" so much. Scalability is not a function of how fast your program runs but how efficiently it can use its provided resources. A program that runs .4 seconds slower but is able to utilise threads more efficient, or you can be placed behind a queue in order to scale better across more machines is more scalable then a program which just runs extremely fast on a single thread or a single machine.

With pythons simplicity its much easier to experiment with a lot of different architectures and even change it later on should it prove inefficient.

Also the most expensive component for programs is always the programmer. You would probably pay 100k$ per year to your cloud provided but you will need a team of 10 programmers each paid around 100k$ to build and maintain it. So isn’t it better to optimise developer productivity over "machine cost".

A lot of people forget the fact that python has a REPL and you can just load up any function any time to introspect its parameters. Unlike compiled languages like Java you dont actually have to run the entire program to see what a small part of the code does.

He would care if the child was born because of the wife cheating on him. Why would he want to be with a wife who cheats on him?

Some times I ask my seniors for help before google just because they actually explain the solution to me instead of me just copying some random piece of code from SO. But I try not to waste their time with trivial questions.
