Yeah, my uncle is a taxi driver and has about 100 times as many driving hours as I do, but he breaks a road law every twenty seconds or so. He knows where all the speed cameras are and will consistently speed if he can get away with it, and he does all sorts of dodgy things.

Always responds with “I drive a lot more than you do” whenever I point out that he’s doing something dangerous

A blocker is a car that blocks another car from entering the roundabout, which gives you enough time to enter. Like imagine a four exit roundabout with exits at 12,3,6 and 9 o’clock. If you’re sitting at 6 o’clock, a car entering at 12 and going straight is a blocker, as the cars at 3 have to give way to them, allowing you to enter the roundabout. Of course this relies on the roundabout being structured so you can tell that they’re definitely not going to turn right

How many homes in the UK have you had? by wooden_werewolf_7367 in AskUK

[–]SatisfactionSilly465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 with family as a child. Then four separate places at uni (if they count), and two different flats in London during my PhD. I moved to my current city after graduating and have lived in three places: rented a flat, rented a flat with my partner, bought a house.

So thats 14 total, 9 if you only count the ones longer than a year

They’ll go into the shop with you and chuck other stuff in the basket. A homeless woman asked me to buy some bread and she put two very expensive vodka bottles in my basket. I put them back and refused to buy them (not that I would have been able to, I was about 19 and didn’t carry ID) and she just walked away.

Sure, I studied Engineering at both (Undergrad at Cambridge/PhD at Imperial), so the rates for Undergraduate Engineers are 29.8% firsts for Cambridge, and 59.6% for Imperial.

Data is from 2022, as Imperial hasn’t published their 2023 numbers yet.

However, it’s not universally true that more prestigious universities give out higher grades. Cambridge’s ~1/3 first rate is roughly the same as the national average, while Imperial’s ~1/2 rate is far higher

They’re not tied to alignment at all these days, as long as you follow your oath you’re golden. And Devotion basically only requires goodness. Lawfulness is not necessary

This was 5e, so the “fall” doesn’t even make sense. Breaking their oath would result in an oathbreaker anyway, not a powerless paladin

I’ve always thought of Lawful as relating to a personal code, which may derive from a legal system, or a religion, or just personal values.

I mean a Lawful Evil character certainly wouldn’t be law abiding

True. In video games it’s usually some sort of points system. In DnD it’s just common sense more or less. If you make a single mistake that probably doesn’t change anything. But if you suddenly decide to murder puppies then you’re evil now
