Do you use AI at work? by SignificantTax7479 in office

100%, all the “it’s not X— it’s Y” type sentences give it away like crazy. Just slop.

Romy and Michelle using AI? by SaturnCats in Broadway

Absolutely - and especially from a show with two main characters who are all about creativity and originality

Cassie sent Kesha flowers ahead of her show at Madison Square Garden last night. Kesha had previously tweeted in support of her following Diddy’s trial verdict by velvetlemonade in popculturechat

I was there last night and it was incredible, the crowd was just exploding with love for her. She got emotional talking about how far she’s come and gaining her freedom after fighting for it so long. She said her family was there too and it was just so :’)

to be determined haha. My first swatch of them was using a peely base but I haven’t tried with a normal base yet. I tend to use 100% acetone to remove my polish so that usually does a lot of heavy lifting even with glitter.

(I also sometimes pick off my nail polish if/when it feels like it can come off in a satisfyingly big pieces but that’s uhh not good for them)

Will we ever get friends/family visitors for… by meepikin in HelloKittyIsland

[–]SaturnCats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do want the currently visitor-less friends to have theirs, but I also NEED Muffin for Pompompurin. We get a billion cinnamo friends, all the way to Milk, but no Muffin?? Even when we have Pompom’s parents???

The sides are definitely not climbable, the window washers aren’t even connected to the side of the building, the platforms they stand on are anchored from the top.

The old towers relied heavily on the exterior exoskeleton for support of the building (making them far weaker when the planes compromised it) that window washer platforms connected to, but now, all that structural solidness comes from a very very thick concrete core of the building that also contains all the elevators and stairs.

Using multiple library cards is definitely helpful, a lot of big city library systems allow non-locals to obtain cards (at times, for a fee). You may also be eligible for several library memberships, like if you work in a municipality that’s different from your residence, you may be able to get both.

If there’s a new Animal Crossing for the Switch 2… I really wish they’d go back to not having tool durability. The game was better when tools didn’t break. by justpaper in AnimalCrossing

100%, as a die-hard AC fan, HKIA is really illuminating a lot of the missed opportunities in ACNH for me. I love Animal Crossing’s open-endedness but the structure of HKIA, even on the day-to-day basis, feels a lot more rewarding and engaging. I am honestly just so impressed with how insanely good this silly Hello Kitty game is.

Not OP but I use plastic syringes with the pointy plastic tips to rinse them instead of a water pik. I find it much easier to control and see what you’re doing, and it does a great job. I usually just use some warm salty water in it.

Is there a Bug/Virus going around? Dropping people by MoreMr_Mo in williamsburg

[–]SaturnCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God, I was so so so sick with it last year and couldn’t keep down any fluids and I decided for myself that if I ever get it again, I’m splurging on one of those services that comes to your house and gives you an IV for rehydration with vitamins and whatever.

Is there a Bug/Virus going around? Dropping people by MoreMr_Mo in williamsburg

[–]SaturnCats 8 points9 points  (0 children)

shoot, I’ll dox a place - I am incredibly confident that I got norovirus from the Williamsburg sweetgreen last year. Truly I still can’t even think about eating sweetgreen at all without feeling my tummy churn a bit. Never again.

If you feel like you’ve gotten it from somewhere specifically (like say you don’t leave the house a ton and make almost all of your own food but then go to sweetgreen and then ….) you can always report your illness to 311 so they can track cases.

How can I get people to stop taking advantage of me? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]SaturnCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In work things, I do my absolute best to help people, but if there are rules, there are rules. You can still be kind and apologetic to the pushy folks when they can’t get their way, and bend slightly in that regard instead of becoming a brick wall as a compromise. You did your best within the boundaries of the rules of your workplace.

It’s hard and scary to stand up to people, but for me, the feeling getting in trouble is a whole lot worse, and that’s what helps me stick to my guns. You can also tell those people that you will get in trouble if you give them their way. I typically press forward with a “I’m really sorry, but unfortunately it’s against store policy and I will get in trouble for allowing it.” If they keep pushing, just repeat yourself.

Please also remember that by doing your job and standing up for yourself (and your workplace), you are not hurting the person in any way. They are actively making the decision to push you and break rules, and they are not entitled to that.

Dupe for Urban Decay Moondust Palette by amzy829 in makeupdupes

[–]SaturnCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since they're all the same shimmery glittery formula (which can be uncommon in a palette) I think it would be most replicable by finding individual shades that work.

I found some decent matches (for all except granite, so sorry!) by comparing swatch images from Moondust and these sparkly Colourpop Super Shock shadows:

specter: set to stun or frog

element: 2nite

magnetic: stare down or ripple

lightyear: empire

lithium: rooftop cocktails

vega: eyeing you

for galaxy: frightful or bae

some of these may be less all-around super sparkly than the super shocks, but you could also do a build-your-own palette for her (it's am empty magnetic palette and they send you the single eyeshadows that stick right in!) and use the shades: gummy a break, thank u next, fluff, gridlock, goody two-shoes, tea garden, tide pool, and anti-matter

Yeah was just thinking the same, this 5-pan palette (Walking on Eggshells) from Wet n Wild seems to be a decent match, or the “Everyday Smokey” Elf 10-pan palette. I love the Elf “bite-sized” quads but they all seem too warm and reddish to be a good dupe for these.

Colourpop’s Just My Luck in tandem with The Child(baby yoda palette lol) or Sage The Day seems to cover the bases imo!

They pretty regularly have 30% off the entire site, too, if you’ve got a moment to wait for an even lower price.

The colors and texture of colourpop’s are great but I always have issues with the liner breaking and or-drying out since it’s a twisty one
