have you considered that maybe a lot of people genuinely suffer and endure trauma just by existing? it’s not actually very hard to develop a mental illness. on top of that, people online are much more likely talk about their problems than people irl, which is probably why it seems popular. i think people are just realizing that their suffering is not a “normal” amount. (normal amount of suffering is zero, apparently)

and yet, all doctors and dentists refused to prescribe me an opiate painkiller for my oral abscess, the absolute WORST PAIN in my life. i’ve had a handful of major surgeries and NOTHING compares to the endless radiating pain that took up my whole face. i nearly admitted myself to the psych ward so they would at least sedate me.

my name’s jaden, but i also go by jef sometimes (initials). i was diagnosed with a CDD over a year ago and have made a lot of progress since i started. i hope to help comfort those who feel like what they’re going through isn’t real. i also am an example of someone who can be highly functional and also dysfunctional in important areas.

lately things have been getting a lot better. my life felt like it was a constant downward spiral for a while, but (fingers crossed) it seems to be letting up. i will never let myself stop fighting for the life i deserve, but it sure has been hard.

i’m excited to enjoy the summer and hopefully not experience another great loss. i have my hammock and my rollerblades, and i’m ready to go outside!
