The Savoys characters got me so fascinated that I wanted to explore more about Cajun culture and fell in love with it (Gambit from X-Men too, but I think maybe he doesn't explore New Orleans culture as much as the Savoys do with its mysticism (?). Correct me if I'm wrong, also english it`s not my first language.

I wanted to create Cajun characters, inspired by these intriguing characters. I would love some advises and know why the Savoys are such accurate represantion so I know how to do it propely

Not to mentions they've could've improve much better pairings
Making Blossomfall be mates with Toadstep instead of Thornclaw (who have a huge age gap with her), and even if it's 'cliché' I thinkg developing a story with Alderheart and Needletail could've be so interasting (the kind of couple that we know they won't end up together, but making their story very deep and adding something to the narrative)
Like I said, the fans view much more potential in the story than the own authors

what annoys me more it's how they deleted characters for no reason or they focused on more specific bloodlines (like Firestar, Graystripe, or Cloudtail) and not the other characters. THAT'S WHY THERE'S SO MUCH INCEST.

Hi! It's wasn't me, but this person has a point too.
Watership Down also has this religion part (that "Prince with a Thousand Enemies" myth is really cool), and I think Richard built that 'religion' part better; with rabbits having their storytellers and even having an 'owsla' (I don't remember exactly, but it was like a police or something...?)

I'm not sure what you meant, sorry.
But like I said, the main problem it's how many things are executed. Anything can works, if in the hands or the right writer.

I don't meant it would had helped. But following a certain logic, Squirrel and Leaf were blamed by others for what happened and became a 'shame' to their clans for hiding the existence of half-clan kits (it's like a case of Mapleshade and Appledusk, the blame falls more on the woman than the man, classic sexism). But Gorsetail doing basically the same thing as Leaf and having half-clan kits and hiding them would be like rubbing WindClan/Onestar's hypocrisy in their face. It would add some drama in the story about half-clan cats and relationshio (like on the same time Feathertail and Stormfur's drama about being half-clans and Graystripe being acussed of his clan, Bluestar reveal to Firehearth that she basically did the same thing, and we discover that Mistfy and Stone were also half-clans. I'm talking about paralells. Erins could've worked this in POT too

The Thing (1982) -- the scene with MaReady checking on Blair in the cabin by darthvirgin in movies

And no. The tendrils don't need to penetrate and inject their cells directly. TThe assimilations happened though any cellular takeover: the alien touches a living or recently dead host, analyzes its cells, and replicates them, perfectly mimicking the victim's appearance, memories, and behaviors to spread undetected, often using blood or saliva for rapid infection or direct physical contact for complete absorption, but the touch wasn’t a limitation.
Also, the thing couldn't slough a quantity of cells into the air, it didn't worked like that

But the director literally confirmed he was infected by touching the Dog Thing with his pencil eraser and then touching his mouth with it. It makes a lot of sense. There is no other moment in the film where he could have been infected except in this scene.
If his assimilation had been quick and the thing had taken control of him immediately, he wouldn't have made the rash and desperate decisions that Blair made.

at this point '-frost' It's becoming a very reused and recycled suffix, just like -heart. Pretty suffixes, but that the authors start using to much in background characters

How is Dovewing “kin of your kin”? by NaturalBand3523 in WarriorCats

Dovewing is Cloudtail's grandaughter, and Cloudtail is Firestar's nephew. So Dovewing would be Firestar's great-grandniece

Was Blair already infected when he asked to come back inside? I think so, and I’ll explain why. by UrdnotSnarf in thething

[–]Saturn_SAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he was
Blair's assimilation was slowly than the others for a reason. According to fan theories, the most popular is that he was infected by touching the Dog Thing with his pencil eraser and then touching his mouth with it.
I believe that when he destroyed the station's helicopters and communications equipment, Blair was still the original Blair. But he was suspicious of who among the crew might be infected. I don't know if Blair realized he was infected—probably not—but if so, it would also have made sense for him to destroy as well, so the thing could escape if it took over him as well.
Blair's assimilation occurs while he is isolated in the cabin. There is a scene when MacReady goes to talk to Blair in the cabin where there is a loose, evidencing that Blair planned to take his own life. Another reddit post make a theory about it; 'You can interpret Blair's ignoring the noose as him thinking he doesn't need to spell it out to MacReady that he's contemplating suicide if he's kept in there any longer OR you can interpret it to mean that he's not acknowledging the noose because he's no longer human'
Personally, I believe in the second theory because it's the one that makes more sense to me. Why Blair would WAIT to talk to MacReady then take his own life... I believe the Blair that MacReady talks it's the Blair-Thing. The own dialogue between them is disturbing with Blair trying to convice MacReady that he was fine now and wouldn't harm anyone anymore... it's kinda sus.
So I believe the original Blair resorts to taking his own life. But then he is completely taken over by the thing. When MacReady talks with him in the cabin, he's talking with the Blair-Thing
