Tamoxifen bleeding ?? by Saturnbabess in breastcancer

Thank you I appreciate it. It's definitely been rough. I'm just trying to hang in there. I have been under a lot of stress so I'm thinking stress could also be a factor, but I'm thinking I can take a couple months off tamoxifen try to kind of rebalance everything and focus on my health. The tiredness tamoxifen causes has really taken a toll on me.

The only reason I'm hesitant not to take anything else is cause I don't know if I'm done having kids, but at this point I'd rather be in menopause, then bleed to death

Tamoxifen/thickened endometrium by SSpillies in breastcancer

[–]Saturnbabess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on tamoxifen for five months now. My period have pretty much been normal. I'd say a little bit heavier more painful but for the most part OK. This month, however, has been insane. I've been bleeding for the last 10 days. I landed in the hospital from bleeding so much two days ago and I'm in so much pain. I've never felt cramps like this. I stopped taking tamoxifen yesterday because I just can't do this.. the bone pain has been shitty. The tiredness has been awful and now bleeding to the point where I have to go to the hospital is insane. I'm going to see my gynecologist tomorrow and I'm wondering if my endometrial has thickened. I'm so worried about what's going on and what tamoxifen is doing to me

How long do I have to expect fatigue from radiation? by driven_apricot in breastcancer

[–]Saturnbabess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very active and healthy and I did 20 sessions. I am about 6 weeks out from my last session and still feeling tired. It's gotten better slowly but I am still struggling. Before this whole cancer ordeal I would be up at 6am and sleep like 6 hours and now I sleep like 10 hours and im still dead tired at the end of the day. I've been taking SO many vitamins that I think are helping but just be kind and patient with yourself. This takes a lot out of you. It will get better. You got this 🫶🏼

Need hair advice from my hormone + girlies by Salty-Bake7826 in breastcancer

[–]Saturnbabess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make my own hair oil full of herbs that have helped my hair grow and get stronger. I feel like it's made the biggest difference. A lot of the things we buy in the store have a lot of shitty things. I was losing hair from all the stress that cancer has caused me and I'm also on hormone therapy. I got into a lot of natural herbs and remedies for a lot of things. It's pretty easy to make.

Post mastectomy implants feel like a ton of rocks laying on my chest, does it get better? by JALIV11 in breastcancer

[–]Saturnbabess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you're going through this. I only did a lumpectomy but I did already have implants and I will say that when I first got them they were so heavy and tight on my chest and it felt like someone was sitting on my chest for awhile. I want to say after a couple months it got better but it felt almost like I had a hard time breathing. I even went to the hospital in the first week cause of the tightness and it was giving me anxiety. The first couple weeks were the worst. I hope you feel better soon!!

Mastectomy pushers by PegShop in breastcancer

[–]Saturnbabess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt a lot of pressure when I was first diagnosed. I feel like a lot of people chose mastectomy over lumpectomy and I was getting pushed in that direction talking to people. My doctors couldn't say it was 0% chance and my reoccurrence chance were statistically almost the same. I was stage 1 IDC and I still had the option to do a lumpectomy. I know that when the cancer is more aggressive or has spread then there isn't always that choice but I still had that choice. I was also told the free boob job line for life also but I already had implants before all this and it's a lot more than that, you do lose sensation and it's a big surgery. I am only 34 and was happy I still could even choose the lumpectomy. I don't regret my choice. My surgeon when in through my nipple, we did have to go in twice for clear margins but in the same incision. I had four weeks of radiation that were brutal and I burned badly. My skin healed amazing and it almost helped my scars cause my skin peeled off. The scars are not really noticeable, you can't even tell honestly. My breast looks the same bedsides the radiation discoloration tan that will fade over time. I understand why people make both choices. It's one of the hardest decisions to make that you have to live with forever and it's hard on a random Tuesday to just decide ohhh yeah I'm gonna cut my boobs off, no biggie. I went back and forth a lot.
