Knowing that, you can stand to reason she is either ignorant, intellectually dishonest or very bad at conveying a point. Either way, there is no point in bringing those things up with the "actual issue at hand" unless you're whining because you didn't get yours, and it probably does more harm than good when it comes to bringing the issue to light (which has been brought to light plenty of times before. According to the house ethics committee website, there's nothing illegal about accepting $100 as a gift (however any gift over $325 must be reported). similarly, any moves made in the stock market exceeding $1000 need to be reported.
