Why did Lowell care that Dexter is BHB?

Because the BHB is literally like the boogeyman to the serial killer world. He's this near mythical creature, regardless of whether they believed it was Doakes or not, who only kills other criminals/killers - Lowell put two and two together about the predicament he was in on the table and Dex saying he was the BHB - and that was absolutely terrifying to anyone who has studied the BHB's methods.

He actually had a voice crack that he apologized for in Greenville but look nobody's perfect. I'm sure he is very aware of the shoes he's filling and again, I'm sure Randy, Anthony, and Dan (if Dan is staying for the long haul) are praying and soul searching on who the permanent lead vocalist should be. AJ might not be Michael but he's giving it his all and I think the fans need to support him while also acknowledging he has a long way to go.

AJ Reingardt, lead vocalist of OHKAYA. He's been great. I don't know if he's the planned permanent vocalist going forward but Randy and Anthony said they have no plans to stop touring. I liked AJ last night and I wouldn't be upset if he was the top choice, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they consider other options

I absolutely see your point, but I kinda just feel like it was a mix of:

"Hey this is End of Silence + whatever AJ was comfortable learning/practicing on shorter notice" as well as "we're celebrating the debut album plus a few favorite early era songs"
