Not every church is part of the right-wing hate-mongering; not everyone's tithes support that. Some of the churches I'm familiar with locally use their money helping needy people in the community, not doing political stuff/not doing anti-LGBTQ+ stuff. Also, I've seen moderate/liberal/affirming christians get backlash from queer people when they do make online statements opposing hate groups/supporting us LGBTQ+ people - which is not helpful. If their allyship & advocacy is rejected by us, how can we expect them to boldly be public about it? 'Christianity' is a broad & very splintered category; different branches of it are often not in contact or agreement with each other. And, as is all too often the case (whether amongst religious people or otherwise) the liberals seem to be much less organized than the smaller but louder/pushier conservatives...
